Im Hyped for Dawnguard. Who's with me and what do you hope i

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:26 pm

Everything will be a surprise for me. I've never watched a gamejam video, listened to an interview or read any posts regarding dawnguard.

I never read spoilers and stayed away from the forums before skyrim was released.

I can't wait.

well, i remember todd saying in an interview (cant remember where but it was close to 11.11.11), saying "no werewolves, least not yet." but then i join companions and have an "omg heart attack love this game" moment. im sure there is a lot they arent telling us about dawnguard. and dragon bone weapons is 'about time' for those. I just hope their skin is amazing, then i might have a reason to go into smithing.

Apparently the Beta is 600MB, this may not seem like much, but consider that Skyrim is only around 3.8GB, that means this Expansion is a hardy 15% of the original Skyrim, which is a massive fraction for an add-on, especially considering there's [probably] no new Music in it.

Dude you don't have to ruin it for everyone...

Add some more quests from Nazir in the DB. I'd like to have more from him, rather than hearing the same old thing from the night mover all the time

"...yet another child, has prayed to their mother, blah blah blah." :/ gets annoying

Also, more than just one new set of armor and one new weapon type please, I'd like some more designs for my characters.

Another thing, add some more easter eggs from Oblivion and Morrowind. I love running across those. Although I can't recall coming across any Morrowind ones.

Ruin what?

If you're implying that I'm trying to backhand gloat about getting a Beta Invite, you needn't worry, I didn't (And am Glad I didn't, since SoaSE: Rebellion comes out tomorrow).

Other than that, I have no idea what you could be talking about. 600MB of totally new game-assets is a massive increase to Skyrim, and there's content in the DLC that will surely recycle a lot of assets, like Animations and such.

Well. SWIM claims to have gotten in and says there are many surprises, but SWIM cannot divulge information due to an NDA that they may or may not have signed. I'm stoked for the full release to see what Beth has in store for us:) get hyped:D

I am hoping for another patch with the expansion but I doubt it.

Gameplay wise spell creation and our old spells at least bafk to Morrowinds full list of spells.

You mean the Vampire Lord DLC?

Nobody is going to join the Dawnguard.

And if they do, it's going to be because they're bored of playing a Vampire.

As I've said before, there is absolutely no allure to joining the Dawnguard other than a useless crossbow and...Armored trolls? Seriously?

How does that beat turning into some demon vampire lord with wings that you use to fly around and wreak havoc from above?

At least give me a pretty glowing blue sword or some angelic looking armor with fanceh wings. I'd like to hover around myself, y'know?

Bad guys always get the good stuff.
not the case there is some good perks to choosing the dawnguard I will be joining them.....with 1 character atleast.

Pretty sure there will be a new patch with the official Dawnguard retail release, because it has to bring the Beta Version that some people got, up to 1.0.

Pretty sure your right I did not even consider that when I wrote my post.
I hope they address some problems with the main game such as plants disappearing without me picking them, and then there are a few plants they are not respawning at all and then there is a problem with the major cities and the plants. If you pluck the plants in a major city and then go back to the city and enter the castle or home you own and come out sometimes some plants will be there others will not, and sometimes all the plants will be gone.

Worry for the rant I just had to get that out I am bug testing that right now, and the enemy respawns 1.6 fixed and it brought some of the plants back but they are still bugged.

Anyways I do hole that when Dawnguard comes out of beta it will be bug free and I definitely hope there is no major bugs along with it.

i dont think you should judge what the dawnguard have until you play the DLC. my first character will be dawnguard just so he can kick some vampire ass

Kind of hoping they add in adoption. Not for my vampire lord or vampire hunter character. My dragonborn and his wife been wanting a child ever since that Gamejam video, lol.

And considering they added a change of hairstyle option in Riften, there's a chance they MIGHT add adoption since the orphanage is in Riften.

It's really hard for me to get hyped up over games anymore, Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3, and the Fable series have beaten that out of me.
Oh god, DA2 definetely did that... Although i blame EA more than Bioware... they seem to destroy everything.

I would really love a surprise weapon type. Lets say a Whip.
Now what did i tell you about these whips before ... i joke of course... but i seriously dont see how these would be an improvement, perhaps a Flail would be better

I would love to see flying mounts or locational damage.
Locational Damage would have WAY too many bugs probably.. and the map isnt big enough for flying mounts

cloaks
Oh dear cloak hype has arisen for Dawnguard aswell... i just hope they actually put it in this time or it'll be the same thing with every DLC they release
