pretty cool sound, I have been looking for a psychedelic/electronica combo (that is good) for a while.

I'm not really terribly well-versed in electronic music, but this seems fairly less mindless than a lot of it I've heard. It's well-produced but the insistent four-to-the-floor beats kind of grate me, though.

Listening to Pink Nightmares right now. It's pretty sweet so far; this is definitely something I could jam to :P

Just gave Pink Nightmares a listen to, though its not my usual music still it was quite good, if this was 3 or 4 years ago I'd definetly be giving them a bigger listen to.
Still pretty good for that genre

Am I the only one who's strangely reminded of Invader Zim by this band?

This music is for potheads guys. I'm not trying to stereotype anyone but it's true. A normal person, not HIGH can't really 'jam' to this music. First off, it doesn't have words. I know music doesn't need to have words, but techno music that doesn't have words is usually meant to stomach a high. Plus, you can't LISTEN to this. It's not like you can walk to school or something while listening to this. It's just not that kind of music.

Now, if your HIGH while listening to this, it sounds like your having an eargasm. This is like, music at raves and stuff. And raves are for people who get high. Lights, sounds, fumes all around you. Plus being high, equals a crazy equilibrium that puts you in ecstasy.

It sounds alright, but I bet it'd be the most amazing thing to a person if they listened to it high.

You can't deny that this music is for stoners. I mean, the 'band' or whatever you want to call them, are called Infected Mushroom. That's a good sign...

It's funny because it's untrue! Potheads don't like this kind of music.

Source - Personal experience.

@Spanky: So, you're tying me to being stereotypical by saying that this music is for potheads, when you yourself are being stereotypical by saying that I think rap and hip hop music is for "ghetto" people. Are you saying because it is mostly sung by black people and their themes usually lean toward the more ghetto side? Or are you saying that to just back up your headless cause?

@UberBanana: Just because I don't enjoy music meant for a person on marijuana or meth to be listening to makes me an E really devoted fan? Or are you saying that because you know for a fact that this type of music is only for potheads?

@Frodo: Thank you. :P

@Thread: I myself don't enjoy typical pop culture, but I don't spend my time searching unknown bands just to look like an innovative hipster for the laughs. I listen to a variety of music, I'm literally unable to say what my favorite song is, or what my favorite band is because I listen to too much of a variety to name. I think of myself as an equal opportunist, I actually enjoy music like this. With the electric sound, I just don't like THIS music in particular.

Funny, no one seemed to address that the band is in fact named INFECTED MUSHROOMS, a direct reference to shrooms. So you can't dare tell me it isn't music for stoners.

I also don't like Skrillex. To me, it's just noise.

You're allowed not to like a band. But you shouldn't enter into a discussion thread about said band with baseless accusations and insults to the fans. I haven't touched a (non-medical) drug in my life, and I don't go to raves. I still like trance. Don't stereotype an entire fanbase or an entire genre.

I kinda agree with Dalek, but, I can love this music even when sober. It's awesome really, and I've only just started listening to some of their songs.

It was an example of an inaccurate stereotype.

I used to listen to the Classical Mushroom album quite a lot, there are some awesome keyboard melodies on there, really dense and baroque.

They kind of moved towards more vocals and song-like structures, and I lost interest... other bands do those things better.

As to the whole 'music for stoners' thing... you can take drugs and dance to this if you really want to. You can also just drink water and dance to it. It's good music to dance to. It takes you on an inner flight, if you let it. I know a few people who like Infected Mushroom, a diverse group, not stoners. Tip: if you generalize too much you invariably end up talking rubbish.

"Rock music is music for alcoholics", etc.

I love them. Classical Mushroom is probably my favourite album, but a few songs off their newer (Artillery, End of the Road) albums pique my interest. Is Pink Nightmares something new?
