Infected Mushroom

Post » Sun Sep 18, 2011 7:47 am

...I was going to write a short description of Infected Mushroom for those who don't know what that is (hint: It's a band) but then I realized that there is no way to describe them with anything less than a detailed anolysis of every song they've created.

:P

So... any other Infected Mushroom fans here?

Listened to Psycho. It was all right, but it kind of lacked an impact for me, kind of sounded the same the whole eight minutes(I know it didn't really SOUND the same, but you know what I mean). And man, an eight minute song? I'd have to be in the right mood for this kind of music.

Love Infected Mushroom. First got introduced to it with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3zjmdc3BMs, which isn't their normal sort of song, but has the added benefit of describing TES lore.

Been listening to Infected Mushroom for years, one of the better psytrance groups out there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6hL6fkJ1_k is one of their better tracks imo, but they have a few good ones (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQs_dv4o3Is, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dqc8JNzniUc, and a personal favorite, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hLnMDJ-gV4). You listen to any other psytrance or goa groups exo? I really enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qt2WbfotkU as well as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lILlZJPnbsE.

I like Infected Mushroom, especially their Converting Vegetarians and IM the Supervisor albums.

Fun (and sometimes painful) to listen to on headphones. Lots of play between the channels.

Yep, I'm a fan. It's hard for me to choose a favorite song, though. Too many good ones.

I've been know to listen to a few select songs of theirs but I wouldn't call myself a devoted fan; three songs doesn't constitute that :P

Heavyweight is one of my all-time favorite songs, actually, though.

This music is for potheads guys. I'm not trying to stereotype anyone but it's true. A normal person, not HIGH can't really 'jam' to this music. First off, it doesn't have words. I know music doesn't need to have words, but techno music that doesn't have words is usually meant to stomach a high. Plus, you can't LISTEN to this. It's not like you can walk to school or something while listening to this. It's just not that kind of music.

Now, if your HIGH while listening to this, it sounds like your having an eargasm. This is like, music at raves and stuff. And raves are for people who get high. Lights, sounds, fumes all around you. Plus being high, equals a crazy equilibrium that puts you in ecstasy.

It sounds alright, but I bet it'd be the most amazing thing to a person if they listened to it high.

You can't deny that this music is for stoners. I mean, the 'band' or whatever you want to call them, are called Infected Mushroom. That's a good sign...

Aaaaahahaha.

Edit: Ok, I was gonna leave it at the "Did he really just write that" laughing, but I can't.

Are you also gonna say that all rap and hip-hop are for people from the ghetto? But you're not stereotyping, right? Look, taste in music doesn't have to be influenced by your lifestyle. I've never smoked and Pendulum and Infected Mushroom are amazing bands. Wax Tailor right up there with them. If you can look past your "I'm not trying to stereotype anyone" bullcrap, maybe you can learn to appreciate people's views on music and maybe find some more music yourself.

Well, that was okay. Not really the kind of thing I would listen to on a music playing brick, but it's okay.

Not entirely what I expected, but I'm not entirely sure what I did expect anyway. Kind of reminded me of the mid '90s clubbing scene, a bit.

You know, it's called psytrance, I think you might have your substances confused... And wow, I'm not sure how to respond to this. I think Infected Mushroom was one of the first electronic type bands I started listening to back in the day, way before I knew what a psychedelic even was. And it sounds fine sober, so I'm not sure what you're on about. I guess all dance music is only for burnouts and yuppies on E, right?

Aaaaahahaha.

Edit: Ok, I was gonna leave it at the "Did he really just write that" laughing, but I can't.

Er, what? I've never been high, and I "jam" to this music just fine. Good background music for drawing or driving to school, but also perfectly good for actually listening to. Plenty of their songs have words, btw.

Of course, in my case, I'd assumed that he'd found an interesting fungi in the woods and wanted to know if it was safe to eat.
