This is coming from a person who eats alot of fish. Don't eat a fish if you don't know how it was prepared!
If you have to, buy a frozen fish and cook it at home. Just to make sure it's cooked right.

The only kind of fished i really liked, was this kind(marinated herring) and Pangasius.
Found worms in pangasius too but that was cooked good.
Those are the 2 fish dishes i liked, the rest i hate, no more fish for me then.

Here they have found that some stores have marinated meat that was long past due date.. and then relabelled it with a new sticker and put it back on display to sell it..

I've bought fresh salmon and it had live parasites crawling on it when I went to cook it. That's why they suggest you always freeze fish before using it for sushi, or raw in any way. (Though you lose the whole point of "fresh fish".)

I've seen worse food...like Smalahove (No, I'm not linking to it, it's a [censored] boiled sheep head...)

Seriously though, make sure when you eat fish that it's properly cooked or if it's raw, like Sushi, then make sure it's from a place you trust not to sell you bad fish.

Ok,so I realize your question is already answered and you know what you're going to do about the matter.

But seriously, you aren't sure if the fish was cooked or not?

I hate you! I HATE YOU!!! WHY DID I WATCH IT!

Also, Romascu, you ought to see a doctor. Tapeworms are nasty things. So, the fish was NOT cooked. Be it a good/tasty food or not, NEVER EAT UNCOOKED FISH. Period.

Oh for heavens sake, live a little.
Ate fish all my life, and I have not mutated into a large tape worm infecting the internet, yet.

I just finished a mandatory food sanitation course so I should be able to tell you all about this. Should.

But I can tell you that a visible worm in a fish can just be picked out, and if not it's just extra protein and nothing more.

Not to be a dike... but I would LOVE to see your test scores, goose. A tapeworm isn't a 'worm'. Its a parasite that can infect you and really hurt you if not taken care of. It is no source of protein whatsoever. Where you got that misconception after finishing a 'food sanitation course', I can't begin to imagine.

No. Romascu may need medical attention if he does indeed get a tapeworm. It leaches your body for nutrients and grows, which is why you get so [censored] hungry and eat like a horse all the time. Which also causes you to lose weight, and (for obvious reasons) become malnourished.

Romascu, if you want to continue eating this kind of marinated fish, at least blanch it in hot water. That won't cook it and it will likely kill most parasites.
