I might be wrong, but I don't think there is actual nudity on the Steam Worskshop. The Nexus is a different story though.

Pretty good video, some nice insight on their views and what they're thinking. They said they wanted to add more archetypes for DLC, so they're expanding vampires since there was so little done with them in the initial game and putting in the Dawnguard faction for those wanting to act the hero and hunt them instead. Thanks for posting this.

I know how you start it. It was confirmed in the GI leak.

Spoiler
After level 10 ask people about rumors and they will tell you about the Dawnguard.

Yes, that's excellent news!

I was planning to start a new playthrough and I was hoping to avoid getting spoiled on how you start the quest. Ideally, I'd like to simply add it to the game world and play a regular playthrough until I encounter the content naturally.

Great to hear Todd wasn't thrilled about some kind of message box announcing "Congratulations, you just bought Dawnguard!"

None - nudity mods are not permitted on the workshop.

I can recall one game I played a couple of years ago, where there was an NPC who pressuring me to buy the DLC. (I think it might have been DA:O)

That approach was rather annoying.

Aww if I seen that in a game, I think I would literally sell the game or snap it in half. That one way to make sure I don't buy your DLC. :ermm:

The interesting thing in the Joystiq video to me is that Todd Howard says that they did not choose to focus on vampires because of any fan outcry, but because they themselves felt that vampires could be developed beyond what was in the main game. While I know there are players wanted that badly, I like that Bethesda employees are working on things that they are personally interested in working on.

I remember that, very annoying. DA:O had areas on the map that you could travel to, complete some short encounter, and then the NPC has some message under their dialogue saying "If you wish to continue, buy DLC".

Bioware has certainly gone off a cliff since the old days :nope:

Mods on console would cement Skyrim as the best game ever... at least for me.

I love to see Howard and those at Bethesda caring about their fans, and how they create, advertise, and ship their DLC. They aren't money hungry vampires (pun somewhat intended) who just want you to buy. They don't say, "You want mounted combat, pay $2. Want new kill cameras, pay $2." They care, they listen, and they know how to do what they do. I'm impressed with what they done with Dawnguard, and from what Todd and Matt have said, that even more free content and expansions are on the way and they're listening to our input, is amazing. I hear people whining "Where's our DLC? It's been months! 10-20 hours for $20? Wow. Look at Bioware! They made DLC right off the bat. And Capcom had DLC two hours after game release!", and I just sigh. Thanks for posting the interview, it gives a good look at how Howard actually cares.

Fan outcry? So they choose to go waste time with boring stuff about dragons and Dwemer instead?

Nice video.

Good to know they are focused in supporting the game for a long period of time and they are dedicating time to deliver us an even richer experience.

Since I play on the console the cool part was when Todd hinted how they would like to find a way to bring mod content to the console. I would have to say that is something they have probably picked up from the forums since I see that on here a lot.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I was commenting on something Todd Howard said in the Joystiq video. He said that they chose to focus on vampires in the DLC because that is what they wanted to focus on. And I said that I like that they are working on things that they are interested in. The fact that fans are interested in playing vampires is great, but they chose vampires because that is what they wanted to do.

I'm sure they also chose dragons and Dwemer in the main game because that is what they wanted to do, and I don't think they are boring at all, but that doesn't really have anything to do with what I was saying.
