June 5 - 3:15pm - G4TV Dawnguard E3 Demo [merged similar top

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 5:21 am

Is it possible the broadcast was a repeat from the G4TV demo posted yesterday?

http://www.g4tv.com/videos/58929/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-dawnguard-dlc-e3-gameplay-demo/

On this page, it says "Posted yesterday at 4pm" however, I haven't seen this one before.

Todd talks about dragon bone weapons being more powerful than daedric, and other things he didn't mention in the previous demo.

Thanks! NOW I am up to speed :D

With bolt crafting, one can hope to see some form of fletching :lightbulb:

edit: spelling
That is what I'm hoping, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Perhaps there will be dragon bone arrows and the Nord hero arrows that before are only available via the console on the PC.

Nord hero arrows are an item i've wanted for some time now. If they use the skin of regular Nord arrows they'll be a welcome alternative to the current high level arrows (Daedric forks).
As you imply, hoping for things like this can be a let down come release day. Anyway, it's going to be great for new weapons and armour regardless

They are like the Nordic arrows but are in the same colours as the hero nord stuff. None of that green and black. I'm not a big fan of pronged weapons either, but they seem to have included another pronged arrow in Dawnguard as seen in the trailer. They are even the same ranking as the Daedric arrows. I think they were meant to be crafted at the skyforge, but because fletching was left out they were too.

Nice.
A bit of new info...the DLC keeps getting better and better.

The only problem I have with it are the animations for vampire lord...they seemed so stiff and quite "weak" during combat...and unfortunately the vampire lord is most likely 3rd person only so the bad animations will be unavoidable

I want to learn more about the perks of joining dawnguard. Other than crossbows and armored trolls, I doubt many people will choose dawnguard.

You know, after watching her during the Dishonored interview yesterday, then watching her today, she seems rather disinterested. She lacks the excitement she had yesterday.

To be fair to her most if not all that was talk about in the interview was already known. I thought the whole interview was pointless they didnt reveal anything new.

So you gain experience and perks in the two new trees seperate from levelling? That's awesome!

And yeah she was all over the place...

Perhaps you'd enjoy a nice 2 hour DLC for 10$ instead. (Ahem BATMAN ahem AHEEEEM) I think 10 to 20 hours is great. Especially since most companies nowadays release $5-10 DLC that add like 5 new items or something stupid like that.

That's about par for a lot of Bethesda interviews.

There was a hands on demo review (i dont have the link but it is floating around here some where) where the guy was with the vampires and daughter of the head vampire went to the spirit world place (i forget it's name atm) to find her mother who was hiding there. You find her and she has 2 elder scrolls that the father wants she is against it because apparently the daughter has to be sacrificed for him to do away with the sun. so he agree'd to help her ( it sounded like you may have a choice to off her). That was about it from what i read.

Todd mentioned mounted combat for PC and Xbox, but not PS3. Unbelievable.

Seeing as I hate vampires and werewolves, I think this and crossbows is what I'm anticipating the most.

I am a bit worried by that interview. If the focus of the Dawguard will be crafting and exploration, what does that mean for their story? Are they mostly just tacked on for the non-vampire people?

Think of it this way.

Ive bought 60$ game's that I beat in like 10 hours.
The market is flooded with these games.

15 - 20 hours for 20$?

I am very excited for this DLC, but nothing I have seen shows that it can top Shivering Isles. Best DLC I have ever seen...

I though He meant Dawnguard in general(the dlc) the focus will be exploration and crafting. So if I join the vampires I won't have much to explore? :ermm:

Don't read between the lines when there are no lines in the first place.

Everyone mentions PC specifically because it has mods, and he would mention 360 specifically because it's what they develope on, he uses it daily, and they have deals with gamesas. PS3 has nothing unique to make it stand out. When he refers to consoles, naturally he would say 360. Plus that was a really unprofessional interview, so I doubt he had his thinking cap on. Morgan sure as hell didn't.
