I think that was the best of the E3 Dawnguard interviews, personally.

Wow, a great interviewer who chose great questions. Matt did a great job and we have good info to discuss. Now, just to enjoy the rest of E3.

There are changes to all vampires in the game, not just the ones in the new story (!)

How is this going to work for certain quests and characters?

Spoiler
Are Sybil Stentor and Alva going to clearly look like vampires? Or are they're going to be of the Cyrodiilic variety still?

Are we looking at a larger differentiation between all the various types of vampires?

Did I hear him say correctly that there would be an OPEN beta next week? Are they referring to the one with the application, or are they doing a true "open" beta?

Yes stronger werewolves, as if they aren't strong enough, but at least no overpowered Vampires

I wonder if vampire lords can use traditional magic too or if they can only use their vampire spells? I'm thinking they can't use destruction/alteration/etc.

Just a play on words. It's considered open, but it's not open to all of the Xbox community.

I love the fact that ALL vampires are getting a touch up with this dlc. It will hopefully improve an aspect of Skyrim that was lacking before, increasing the quality of the entire game as a whole - not just adding a new questline.

Now we just need were-bears, a magic overhaul, and tweaked npc schedules so they feel more life-like and I'll be happy till TES VI! They could work spears in there to for those who like them, but I'm much more interested in seeing the spell combination aspect from gamejam rather than just one single weapon that we probably will be getting in the future anyway.

Totally agree. I like that they are developing an entire area of the game - not just adding new quests and characters. That is how I prefer expansions to work.

Thanks guys for making me feel better loool, was a great interview I submitted question but wasn't picked :( I asked questions like how will the vampire lords fit within the lore, will their existence be explained? Will there be sidequests added to the DLC (was answered after I asked).

I really hope that it will be 30 days but BGS has been a little sketchy with release dates like the CK.

That's what I figured. Oh Well, At least it will be out before the end of the month.

Also, I couldn't agree more with your signature.

I really think they shouldn't touch up all the vampires and make them all look different. It interferes with certain quests and characters that depend on vampires blending in. I think some of the vampires should stay as is, others should get overhauled, and others get the whole Vampire Lord thing.

This would make the different types of vampires feel like different bloodlines, rather than one large group that don't associate with one another.

Well touching up the normal vampires doesn't necessarily mean changing their appearance so they can't blend in.

Bastards I hate people who pretend to know "SO" much about video games but there actually wannabes!!
Is there a way I can see a reply of that and is there a way I can see this latest details? I seemed to have missed it while getting foodz :(

But that doesn't mean that they will be incapable of blending in. That's all I'm saying. I can't imagine they would change them in a way that breaks existing storylines/quests.

Of course, the more types of enemies the better. And based on what we have seen of Harkon(?) it seems like he could still fit in and act normal if he wished, save the glowing eyes and stuff. I'm betting the cave dwelling vampires will be the ones who see the most change, while the few here and there that live in the cities will at most gain more prominant glowing eyes in the dark.
