! Kill Cicero or Let him live .-. I cant decide on either !

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 4:18 pm

I fear if I let him live he will some how obliterate the last remaining froobs of the Dark Brotherhood but Then I fear that if I kill him future installments of The Elder Scrolls will no longer have an assassins quest line for it being cannon that it died out in Skyrim .-.

so what happens if i let him live and what happens if i kill him .-.

If you let him live, he'll return and become a companion to you.

Kill him and you get brilliant but weird looking armour

If you keep him alive, he'll say some ridiculous stuff as companion banter if i recall correctly.

Eg: In the windhelm's quest he says STABSTABSTABSTABSTAB or something. That loon.

I killed him because he didn't follow protocol. Just because he's The Keeper he doesn't get free reign to not follow the rules.

Be careful about that: it's not armor it's only clothing. It has great stats, but there is 0 Armor Rating.

He attacked Astrid because she insulted the Night Mother. To do so is to invoke the wrath of Sithis. He was in the right. Also Lucien feels that Sithis did not want him to die.

1) If he was so stealthy he could've killed Astrid without attacking the entire DB.
2) Sithis should've told The Night Mother to have the Listener to take Astrid out or order it to be done.
3) Cicero tried to kill The Listener. As I see it The Listener is far more valuable than The Keeper. Any cretin can be trained to rub oils in the hard to reach places. :P

How much bad behavior should we have tolerated from Cicero before we drop the hammer on him?

I read his journals and felt sorry for him. Also he says my favorite easter egg, so he gets a free pass in my game. :P

Read his journals, it explains his descent into madness. i did these before he went berserk so i had sympathetic feeling towards him.
Plus we all need off the wall assassin to keeps us company once in a while.

No... no i do not. Having her fondle me in a coffin twice was bad enough.

Kill him. For the sanity of everyone he will meet and within a radius to hear or see him.

Cicero is a obnoxious, overdone moron. His madness is overdone and stupid.
I don't give a damn about what rules he follows, he's a annoying idiot in a very stupid outfit.
Would'nt surprise me if the rest of his group left him because he was a idiot. Looks like it from his journals.
No reason to feel sympathy for that little creep.
You have to hope the Night Mother could'nt hear him all the time, in her places in the world of the dead.

He deserves to die for being so annoying and stupid.
Violently and painfully.

Killing him, not killing him, it won't affect the future stories. No need to worry about that. You bring the DB back to greatness anyway, that's how it goes.
Cicero is irrelavent to the future of the DB.

Let him live, unless you want to take care of the mother.

No! Don't you dare kill Cicero!!! :ooo:

Really it's just a matter of whether you like him or not. I love him - he's my favorite follower, probably my favorite character in the whole game.

I always wondered if he really meant to kill the last surviving shadowscale, and the attack in the Falkreath DB was just a diversion - I mean, who got hurt the worst?

I kept him alive. Mostly because of what Lucien Lachance said. Great respect for that man, and he said that he thought Sithis would want Cicero alive.

Also, he really is the only TRUE Dark Brotherhood figure still around. He follows the 5 Tenents, which Astrid abandoned, and he cares about the Night Mother.

Also, not only will he be a companion, but he treats you like a f**king rockstar whenever you walk into the Dawnstar Sanctuary if you keep him alive :). Also helps to make the sanctuary feel a bit more lived in.

You can still get cool Jester clothes I believe. He's a psychotic freak who attacked Astrid but still... Astrid wasn't exactly being a true Dark Brotherhood leader. Cicero was acting in the name of the true leader.

Spoiler
Cicero injured Veezara when he goes berserk, but he doesn't kill him. Veezara dies in the attack by the Penitus Oculatus, which is Astrid's fault.
