Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 4:37 am

i did my first playthrough as ncr and wasnt happy with my result so i started over and made a character built for guns speech and barter, my beginning plan was to side with house but now i kinda just wanna rule the wasteland with an iron fist myself, can i get an ending for this?

Spoiler
i know from talking to yes man he says that benny's original plan was to kill mr house and take over the strip(until i massacred him and his thugs in the casino..if youve never taken that route do it its fun lol), thats were i got my idea from.

discuss? flame? yel at me for making a rtarded post? sing me a song so i can go to sleep?

Yeh, side with yes man, but you can still kill benny in anyway you can. With yes man you rule the strip and even have your own army, and it's one of the better options for the good of the wasteland post playthrough.

oh i already killed "mr. i cant kill a guy with a head shot", i kept my convo with him very brief, just told him it was time to die and i ended up taking everyone in the casino down with him.....on a side note, spiked knuckles are fantastic, even with my character who has 11 under hiss unarmed skill. 2-3 hits and each chairman and body guard was down.

but now im excited to know that i can kill everyone and be rewarded for it. except brotherhood, and the boomers they ok in my book, heck maybe after everyones dead me the boomers and the BOS can take the boomers curiously put together airplane and see what the mexican wasteland is like.

If you are going for killing everyone, don't spare any of them, just kill them all (including Yesman and House), see if you can get an ending from it.

I can see it now...

"and so the courier, who was like a god, single handedly conquered the entire wasteland and laid waste to Caesar's Legion, Mr. House's Robots, and the NCR."

is it sad that i was able to picture a slide show that went along with this and the announcers voice saying this?

It would be funny if there were NCR and Legion hit squads chasing you around the wasteland instead of each other.

You and Bender would get along so well.

Edit:

Hey whiteguy, you forgot civies. If you're going to kill everyone you must KILL EVERYONE. Don't spare a single soul. If you run across a trader, kill him. If you find someone cowering in a ditch, kill him. That's a true 'kill all' playthrough.

Probably not, most likely it just says something about Ron Pearlman's ability to make anything sound cool.

"and so the courier went to the bathroom and drank from the toilet, hereby regenerating his health and quenching his thirst."

If you imagined that line being voiced by Ron Pearlman, you might be addicted to fallout.

That seemed strange to me. You could kill children in Fallout 1 and 2 but not 3 or New Vegas. Are children somehow invulnerable to gun fire and stabbing? I do understand the problems that the developer would face by allowing players to kill children (the mere presence of prosttutes in Grand Theft Auto sparks controversy with every new GTA that Rockstar makes) but... it just doesn't make sense.

Besides, in Little Lamplight I had to fight the urge to fill those brats full of holes. Imagine my surprise when I realized they were invincible. It just means I'd have to wait for them to grow up so I can escort them into the Deathclaw Sanctuary instead of Big Town.

Little Lamplight ruined FO3 for me..... I guess it is quirky and whatnot, but it makes so little sense being in the main plot-line that my head almost exploded in rage. Yes, I did try to toss grenades over the barrier to cleanse "children of the corn" from the wasteland.

Little Lamplight bothered me mostly because the kids were little jerks and I wanted to punch them in the face. However, in the back of my mind I was always wondering: How in the hell have they not all grown up and left? Are they just sprouting out of the cave or something?

You can go different ways with a conversation.
Its very interesting.

A message to the forum:

Killing children is wrong. You should only kill grownups and animals and mutants. You can also kill robots that act like they are humans, but you never should kill robots that are immature and act like children.

During times Fallout2 was being played, people were less evolved. They couldn't understand that killing children was wrong. Today people are more evolved so they can understand killing children is wrong.

I have a dedicated Kill Everyone character. I'll probably regret killing the traders, but everyone must go! I can't wait to start robbing the casinos. In FO3 I played as a Pacify Everyone character, where I mezzed enemies into being friendly. Sort of made like I was conquering the Capitol Wastes and the Raiders were my new subjects.

Me too found that I can't hurt the kids in Little Lamplight lame.

It would be cooler if they were essential so at least I can get the @$$ wooping they deserve.

EDIT: you can't kill the Robot salesman in Gun Runner...but who cares, everyone else is dead.

I'd be curious what kind of ending you'd get if you killed everyone. How could the plot advance?

I killed off the Great Khans at Bitter Springs by accident but found the note they had from Benny on them, so that helped advance the plot. I think the main plot is fine, and sometimes, if you kill somebody before you're supposed to (such as, for example, I think Sharon Rose of Cassidy's quests) I think the game takes that into account?

I'm thinking of doing a kill-all playthrough, and to just be hated by everybody.
