Killing people who send thugs?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:17 am

I just wanted to find out if when playing a thief/assassin you always kill someone when they set out a thugs contract on you for stealing/killing someone they know? I just can't resist the urge to get revenge haha

There should be some conversation with the person who sends them in which you have the choice to brawl, kill, threaten or become friends. Or you could just stab them in their sleep!

Yes because repeatedly punching someone in the face is a great way to stop them hiring thugs/assassins after you, considering they only done it the first time because you stoll there sweet roll

It was kinda awkward finding a letter from a guy you just killed.

That's what I've always wanted! I wish I could go up to them, show them the note and kill them. But yeah I usually end up stabbing them in their sleep haha.

Being that sometimes children send thugs after you, it's pretty impossible.
And coincidentally almost every time I get the arm men sent after me it's from an essential NPC.

[censored] essential NPC's......*grumble*

As my level 49 character I kill anyone who mocks me (a lot of them with me being a high elf). And yes I kill them. Sithis demands it.

I either kill them or if they have a family I let them live and go after their loved ones

I just reverse pickpocket the contract back on them while they sleep. The last good night's sleep they'll ever have

If it fits in to the RP I will kill them. As the other members have said, it would be a lot better if there was a dialogue option after the thugs are sent after you.

I haven't had one of these random encounters since a couple patches ago, but can you still get thugs sent after you by unnamed NPCs? It was always awkward finding a letter signed "Whiterun Guard" or "Bandit Leader".

Yeah I've done that before ;) I've always wished I could pin it to their wall with in arrow... Instead I now kill their loved ones and put the note in one of their pockets, that shows them who is boss...

>3 Hired Thugs
>We're here to teach you a lesson
>Kill them
>"Here's the money as agreed. I need you to kill the thief S'drassa - Deekus."

That awkward moment when you get thugs after you for pickpocketing the heart out of a briar heart forsworn.

I'm gonna start doing that from now on, that's actually an awesome idea.

That's pretty dark. I'll be sure to keep my thugs from chasing after you!

I don't remember having very many men sent after me, because I don't tend to steal things very often. Even on my assassin/theif characters I can't remeber ever have been sent thugs, which is actually a little strange. Pretty sure I would have killed them or at least stalked them had they done.

One problem..... I've had someone send people to kill me because I did a reverse pickpocket. So they might just send more people.

Never, because my character does not know who sends the thugs after him.
He can read the note, sure, but he knows that to be false information ever since Septimus Sigmus sent thugs after my character for taking his books after he died.
