If you read much e-readers are awesome. I never used to understand the draw, but then I got one and it changed my life as a reader drastically. That said, I have no interest in the new Kindle. Unless you're going to make a full-blown tablet rather than a glorified e-reader I MUCH prefer an http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_Ink screen. You can read an e-ink screen in bright sunlight (looks pretty much just like ink on paper), it's much easier on my eyes, and the battery lasts for a month. Yes, a month.
This is one of my gripes about ereader marketing (not ereaders themselves): the battery time suggested is incredibly contrived to the point of being pointless

A single charge lasts up to two months with wireless off based upon a half-hour of daily reading time. If you read for one hour a day, you will get battery life of up to one month. Keep wireless always on and it lasts for up to 10 days. Battery life will vary based on wireless usage, such as shopping the Kindle Store, Web browsing, and downloading content. In low-coverage areas or in EDGE/GPRS-only coverage, wireless usage will consume battery power more quickly."
I'd much rather have them tell me straight-up how long the battery will last just reading books than how long it'll last when Jupiter is in retrograde and Sagittarius is waxing in strength.
