I'm not a fan of tablets either.

Honestly, we've got the smart phone and the laptop. Anything in between seems frivolous to me. Obviously that's just my opinion, don't think I'm hating on tablets.
Laptops svck IMO, tablets are far more useful. They have an excellent battery life (the Transformer original has a 16 hour battery life with the dock, no laptop can touch that), bigger screen than smartphones, allow for content creation at a greater extent than smartphones, and are honned much better for content consumption than laptops.
I never plan on buying a laptop again. If I get the Transformer Prime (just waiting on some important benchmarks related to my planned use) I'm going to light my laptop on fire. Laptops battery life svcks, they svck at note-taking (compared to a tablet where http://campuslife.asus.com/index/4839/the-future-of-note-taking-how-supernote-works/), and are too bulky to be considered mobile (unless you get 13.3'' or smaller)
I can also remote into my desktop from anywhere in the world so long as I have an Internet connection and therefore would be able to access the full power of a desktop from a tablet.
So.... is there any point to this product?
cheap mobile web browsing, cheap mobile video watching, consolidate your ereader, (very) basic mobile content creation
