Ladies and Gentlemen... to your battle stations!

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 6:51 pm

Here's my http://imageshack.us/f/854/30923538440790141196002.jpg/. I've since gotten a new chair and a new computer case though.

That is a pretty badass battle station... Conveniently located near what looks like the kitchen and the living room. One question though, how do you get around that monster lol? That walk way looks too small.

Thanks.

I think it's just the angle. There's enough room for pretty much anyone to make it through there. It is conveniently located near the kitchen and the living room - from the desk I can look to the right and see the TV so if I want to watch Netflix while working on stuff I can.

A couch with a table in front and big TV on the 3rd floor. Also have a microwave and refrigerator up there. So I never have to come down. MUHAHAHAHA. Unless I run out of anything.

A nice plush comfy chair---either that or my game chair. I might buy another one that has speakers.

God I hope all this link stuff works, first time ever doing it haha!

+1 for having King of the Hill on the TV.

If I get Skyrim for PC (read that as "If Steam doesn't prevent me from getting Skyrim for PC"), then I'll be playing on a fairly messy desk with pop cans all over it.

If I get it for PS3, I'll be playing it on an older 52" 1080i DLP TV. Either way is fine by me.

Nice pad you got there, my only question is how do you hide your battle station from the ladies? :hehe:

Hide? Battlestation? Those are two words you should not use together. You have to impress them with your battlestation.

edit-Forgot an important part in that sentence.

http://localhostr.com/file/zX32zSa/battlestation1.jpg a proud member of the laptop gaming master race stands before you. tremble.

in detail:
- another laptop i don't remember anything about other than it's a Compaq and it's got an 8200M.
- a bottle of water!
- a pair of http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-V700DJ-DJ-Style-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B00001W0DH!
- a hard drive enclosure!
- a korg nanokey! (which i would not recommend to anybody it's a flimsy piece of [censored])

there's also http://localhostr.com/file/L5js7op/battlestation2.jpg, which i don't use for much more than RDR since i haven't gotten around to getting anything else for it. this is mostly notable for the sheer number of cables and dumb [censored] i've got running between it and my laptop.

i get video with a 360 VGA cable plugged into my old monitor, and audio with the RCA outs plugged into an RCA-to-3.5mm adapter, which is in turn plugged into a 3.5mm-to-1/4" adapter, which is plugged into the back of a http://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-US44010-Interface-GT-Player-Software/dp/B00061ZM2Y, which is plugged into my laptop. i plug my headphones into the front of the interface and then it's golden.

Ahhh, a fellow laptop gamer!

You cant see my switches in those pics. There are two blade servers visable. (One next to the silver desktop and one underneath the printer under the desk)

They are two extrememly old blade servers, one with 4 160GB (10,000RPM) HDDs, 2GB RAM, and 2 Pentium III CPUs at 1.2Ghz.
The other one (underneath the printer) is a Pentium 4 1.8Ghz, 2GB RAM, 2x80GB HDDs.

My network, consists of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833156251 connected to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124386, which then wirelessly connects to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124388 for the actual routing part.

........the power company must hate me.

Ahh, a blade server, I was sure I could see 2870 or something on it, but it didn't look like Cisco gear.

Futon which will be unfolded and a big screen tv plus 360 in living room.
Double bed with an excess of pillows, in my bedroom , 360 with a big screen tv.
The only thing that could possibly make TES better for me is a game that is Kinect compatible. Lightsaber dueling on Kinect will be the big gaming thing after Skyrim.

Unlike Highlander, where there can be only one, a single copy of Skyrim will not go over well in our home, we'd fight over it.
