Left handed social club

I've always had a question about lefties, how do you guys, you know, go to the bathroom? :P

We wipe with our right hand.

I've heard that all left-handers are secretly Satan, any truth to that?

I don't know about other lefties, but yes, I'm Satan.

Though clearly, The left hand is the superior hand.

Do any of you lefties use the pc mouse in left hand?

I'm right handed and when my hand gets sore from using the mouse too much I switch to left. I don't switch the button configurations though only those in my head

I'm left handed, but I use the right for using the mouse. Everything else is left, although I'm pretty ambidextrous when doing things at work.

I love how all my right-handed family complains when I need to ask them to cut things for me. If they got me a left-handed pair of scissors, it wouldn't be an issue!

I thought the first guy on there was John Madden at first, "BOOM! Comfort Wipe!" Nothing like an 18" butt wiper. :biglaugh:

Anyways, I have been known to be able to use my left on my job, but that is only because I have about 20 years in construction. I guess it takes practice to become as evil you natural lefties. :P

Excellent thread. This way we can quickly identify those miscreants and properly shun them for the mutants they are.

This is a thread for left handed people or right handed people who have questions about us

Hello all!

I'm right handed but I have a few questions.

Why do left handed people practice black magic?
Is it true that left handed people are spawned by demons?
Do you require virgin blood to survive past the age of 20?

I am left handed and it works well welding a banhammer. Does that make me evil or sinister?

No of course not. It would if you used it for evil.

I R LEFT HANDED!!!

Though, I'm actually ambidextrous (most left-handers show signs of ambidexterity). I write with my left hand, and play pool and guitar left-handed, yet I drum, throw and do everything else with my right hand. So yeah, ambidextrous here, but when it comes to writing, it's my left hand that makes the grade :)

EDIT: @Neuromantik:
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Not neccesary, but highly recommended...

When I was learning how to work pencil's and crayons and such, my dad had noticed that I was a righty. Being a lefty himself, he naturally tried to sabotage my learning by putting the crayon/pencil/whatever into my left hand. Bastard. :P

I'm left-handed, as in, I write with my left hand and favour my left hand for all sorts of things, but it seems that I'm also right-handed in lots of things.

I use the mouse with my right hand. I play guitar and drums like a right-handed person would. When I play football (soccer for the US fellows) I can only shoot with my right leg/foot. And I can't even imagine doing any of those things in a left-handed way. Having my guitar turned the other way 'round is just weird and unnatural, and I tried shooting with my left foot and the ball just flies off randomly. But then again, when I play basketball, I shoot and dribble and pass like a left-handed person would.

I am a left handed person with left-right confusion.
:P

Seriously though, dominantly right handed (and right footed for that matter) though I trained my left hand for writing when I injured my right and still use my left for some things. Also use both hands for paintings sometimes, on big canvases.

But in the nature of this thread, I have a question for the left handed overlords.
I'm convinced our microwave is made for left handed people: the door has the handle on the right, therefore it opens to the left. I open it with my left hand mostly, and find it awkward to open it with my right. What do you think, is this an infiltrator amongst the majority of household items normally made for righties?

No, because it's more important that the buttons are on the right side, thus more easily accessible to your right hand as you're standing in front of the microwave, and since the buttons are then on the right side of the door, it would be more complicated to make the door hinges on the right side where the buttons and LCD display and, thus, various cables and whatnot are, than it would be to make them on the left side, thus making the door open to left.

edit: Also, in the case of microwave doors, opening the doors is not the most complicated task, and it's always the goal to make the most complicated task to be easier to do with your right hand. In this case, you open the door with your left hand, and reach in either to leave something in or take something out, with your right hand.

I couldn't find it anywhere but is it true that we (left-handers) use more of our subconscious, cause if it's true then we are seriously superior to right handers. Which explains A LOT about me.

I'm not sure, but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-handedness - it seems that "Exposure to higher rates of testosterone before birth can lead to a left-handed child." B)

Albert Einstein was left handed. 3 out of the 4 MAC designers were left handed.

EDIT: Left handers have a 10-15% higher success rate (in terms of academics) than right handers.
