Level Cap Increase

Keep it at level 20 and spend the time working some form of balance into the current system.

It depends if the leveling system is as broken as Fallout 3's.

More levels = More crappy perks

More levels = Overpowered when reaching the max or higher level.

Sure, they could fix it by only giving perks at a few levels, like every third or fourth, but then there's not as much point to it. I think 20 was okay.

I thought 30 took a good amount of time to achieve but I know the feeling when you reach the cap that game starts to feel less rewarding.

at least 60, i would be happy with 100 levels with perk every 3 levels, but u should gain new level faster than in the f3.
Why do u want everything that could be in the normal game added in DLCs?
DLCs also cost money

What was wrong with the system from fallout 3?

I just don't want to see..

[TUTORIAL]HOW TO MAX FALLOUT NEW VEGAS SKILLZ[/TUTORIAL]

I don't want that to be possible. Ever.

If they can accomplish that without a level cap (impossible) then go ahead and do it. But, yeah.. you can't. So, no level cap increase for me.

It's too fast considering the amount of stuff you get to do.

Edit: And the skills are too meaningless.

I think some of the first suggestions Bethesda gave to Obsidian are:

1. Don't have it end

2. Don't have a level cap

We don't need another Broken Steel.

I hope so. It would be great to have no caps for Levels and Skill. I would like to see my Small Gun at 150 again.

Game is big, maybe they will not fill the game with 1000 perks & SPECIAL attributes. It's better having it on a DLC, you get the expansion and level cap but for the same cost

Well I agree that getting to level 20 was a bit fast, but when they raised the cap to 30 that actually took a bit longer and made it more satisfying. Yeah some of the skills were meaningless but sounds like they are going to improve the skills in NV.

I would like my SPECIALs to have meaning. If you for example have only 2 perception then you would have a low max energy weapons skill. That would allow for more character building.

So lower the difficulty. If you play on Very Easy you have to do every sidequest and 8/10 of the main quest just to get to level 20. What do you mean skills are meaningless? There are thousands of variables in the game dependent on skills.

Not if you use the weapons intended for that style of play. You know, the weak ones.

Personally I don't think they should raise the level cap, as the way FO3 stands it is too easy to max everything.

If they do increase the max you can put a skill up to, I think they should add in situational modifiers especially for the weapon skills which would effectively 'lower' your skill depending on which modifiers were in play at any given point. Having said that the modifers tend to be easier to do with the old Fallout system than the new one I presume.

What's the point? If I lower the difficulty the enemies are easier and the skillprogression loses the meaning it (was supposed to) had in higher difficulties as the enemies are so much easier. The point I'm driving towards, is that the leveling up should not be a participant in what difficultysetting you choose.

It isn't unless you for some reason dislike achieving an advantage over the enemy.
