level 81 quest possibilities

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 6:10 pm

I play on master. At 81 I killed the ebony warrior in a few hits, this was with a dragonbone 1 hand and my shield.

He was the ebony warrior in Whiterun? I did not even know it was someone special...

Hmm.. he was standing with a couple of cultists, the ones with the note to start the expansion.
I did not even know he was special.
He got in the fight somehow, so we killed him.

Is he much easier that way than if you do the quest to meet him and kill him?

I for one hope they keep the addition of these sorts of things to an absolute minimum.
Why?
Yeah, it kind of svcks that they have these requirements. I'll never get to fight a legendary dragon or the ebony mudcrab. I play on PC, so mods could fix that problem real fast. Then again, my console brethren can't. Which still svcks.

svck is the word of the month here at Bethesda forums. To all new members, here's a fishy stick http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg and a commemorative posh Mudcrab for all of those classy folk out there http://oi40.tinypic.com/nfsbk2.jpg.
Ebony mudcrab?

Why?

Because the concept of end game content (level 80/81) means that my playstyle will NEVER get to enjoy it. Those sorts of additions and mindsets belong in MMOs, not The Elder Scrolls.

Nah, that goes against my playstyle. Its all about the journey for me, and once Im at the destination I tend to get bored. So I dont want to level really fast, to me that would be the antithesis of fun. If I played on PC Id mod the game to make levelling a lot slower, probably as easy as cutting xp you get for performing actions in half. I think I level too fast in Skyrim as is, I have the same problem with New Vegas and Fallout 3.

Which is why I said at the end of your character's journey do it. When you're gonna leaveit to rot anyway. That or save before you do it, then delete it and reload afterwards.

He wont be able to fusrodah you off mountains and other npcs may distract him, so yea. He wont be a challenge if you make an op character.

But that would be pointless, as my character still wouldnt have done it.

You see, you brag about this but the fact of the matter is you're playing the game the way it's not meant to be played. I was a battlemage and my character on master with a 100dmg sword and dual cast thunderbolt would barely take a fraction of his health and I EVENTUALLY beat him. That felt rewarding but the way you killed him is just moronic.

I wouldn't call him a moron, but I will say he's way too op.

But playing like that IS moronic. Think about how OP he is to kill him in a few hits... It's like a CoD player has discovered how to make OP characters and thinks 'WOW C00L!'

Can you only get the ebony warrior at level 81?
Darn.
That means Ill never see that particular piece of content. Ive nver had any character go above 70 or so.

Same here, my single character is level 65, and I don't make use of much magic...

If he finds playing like that fun, power to him.
Thats the beauty of a TES game, you can play it the way you like.
You cant call his playstyle moronic just because you like to play differently.

It's a single player game. He can play how he wants. Long as he doesn't say the game is too easy, he's not a moron for playing how he wants.

I just wish they didn't add that level requirement. I don't want my characters to become a jack-of-all-trades, so attaining level 80 is no option for me. Why not simply implement a BAMF opponent almost impossible to kill on whatever level you got (give him a freaking high level from the start in other words), and feel super high when you finally manage to defeat that bastard after a lot of pain and effort? I hope a mod will come out soon after the release of the pc version so I'll be able to meet both that warrior and legendary dragon as well ...

It's Bethesda dude, they leave a lot of things unfinished. All you get is the generic weapons and armor.

You complain you will never be able to see the content, then when people mention ways to do so you say 'It's not my playstyle'... some people man.

Missing the point in spectacular style.

Roleplaying a set archetype, you'll never get to experience this content. Using the OI glitch, or just straight up leveling other skills that are irrelevant to that archetype (at least those that can be avoided completely in regular play) is not an acceptable response.

In an ideal world, they would just drop this stupid level 80 content, make it start appearing at the average class build level and have it scale all the way up to level 81. That way people who like to roleplay won't be forever locked out of content and the MMO-grind folks will still have their high end 'challenging' content.

? Not really. How is he complaining by saying he killed him in a few hits? Granted his statement was a "no [censored]" moment since he's so op and playing on novice, but he never complained about it. Unjustly bragging, but not complaining.

Im not 'complaining'.
All I said was that it was a shame I would never get to see that content.
My characters do not get such a high level.
Never seen a legendary dragon either.
Seriously, people have got to stop calling everything under the sun that isnt blind praise 'complaining' or 'whining'.
Its annoying.

lol what's this "ebony mudcrab" about?

Basically, I'm insulting him. Since you can't use expletives on this god forsaken forum, I have started to use game creatures to fill that void.

Now svck on my Slaughterfish, you Milk-Drinking, son of a Mudcrab!

May you burn in the depths of Oblivion you Scamp!!!!

I think you get the drift.
