Life on Earth and elsewhere...

the best example i have ever seen was a campy twighlight zone where aliens appeared to detonate a large explosion on the side of the moon. humanity interpreted it as threat and a display of force but in actuality the aliens where showing off a form of inifinite energy but we werent sophisticated enough to recognize it.

Had this actually happened, regardless of their intentions, the aliens would have really screwed the pooch, and we would have been justified in retaliation. We depend on the Moon for a lot of things down here on Earth, like the tides, balancing the rotation, timing reproduction in the natural world, etc. (just to name a few important ones) Had this gone to the intergalactic supreme court, we would have won the case and been awarded many Galactic Credits. (and maybe a pony)

The Universe is too big to not have life in it other than our own ( No guarantee that we will ever see any of it though)

This. The universe is so large that it's hard to imagine that there isn't other intelligent life out there. By the same token, the universe is so large it's unlikely we'll ever find any.

I mean, 20-30 years ago it was hard to imagine water being as common as we now know it is.
