Here are a few frustrating bugs I encountered (Xbox 360 version):
- When in 1st person, my arms would constantly go up and down for no reason
- 50% of the creatures in the Wasteland are stuck in textures
- When unequipping a weapon, my running speed is sometimes the same as when I have my weapon equipped (can be 'solved' by reloading a save)
- In some occasions a quest starts and a second later it says the quest has failed for no reason. When reloading a save and doing the same, the problem is 'solved'
- Programming logic for some quests is really bad, so when you start to mix things up by doing other quests which are related to that quest there is a high probability that the quest will glitch (the main quest for example)
- Again quest problems, actions not being registered
- Doors being locked, making completion of a quest impossible, and this is irreversible by the way. If you continue your game without reloading a save you are f*cked. I was once locked inside the Strip. The gate to enter Freeside was locked and it needed a key?! I fast traveled to another location, doing a few side quests, then wanted to enter the Strip again, but it was impossible since that gate was locked. I needed to reload a save game from +4 hours of gameplay to 'fix' this.
- Companions not doing what you command them to do. If you send someone back to the Lucky 38, there is a 50% chance you will never see them again. Another problem is they sometimes stay at places, while the command still says they need to follow. This problem almost always occurs in The Strip, especially when leaving the Lucky 38. For some reason, you ALWAYS have to double confirm they need to follow you before you leave the Lucky 38
- The longer you play, the slower the games starts to play; loading times are slower and slower, lag keeps building up, temporary lock-ups keep occurring. After 5 hours of constant gameplay, you can always expect a permanent lock-up (aka freeze).
These are just some of the glitches and problems I encountered. Besides the glitches, the game is really fun. So please Bethesda, fix the problems so this game can have its full potential.
