Terrible design choices all around. As shallow an RPG as you can get. Streamlined to a sickening degree.

Most of the game is good for me. And the only bad point is alchemy shops that always never seem to stock any of the ingredients that you need. Why?

Good: The lore, and how the game just svcks you in.

Bad: The lack of depth in practically everything. Most of the missions are really lacking in the length and variety department. Needs more dramatic animation. The characters show, basically, no emotion towards anything - physically! And as a RPG, I think there should have been more to do. More jobs. Actual blacksmithing. Get a job as a blacksmith, someone comes to you and requests a certain armor or weapon, they pay you - you make it. Fishing as a job.

Just, there isn't enough depth to the game. It's a good RPG, but it isn't a strong RPG. There should have been more things to do. I don't know, perhaps my ideas are just to ambitious for the technology of today.

Good: Addictive game play keeps me entertained for hours.
Bad: Addictive game play that keeps me entertained for hours pisses off my wife.

Well to keep things simple;

Good- graphics, particularly spellcasting (phenomenal actually)
Bad- not enough NPCs or NPC interactions

Good-Combat, at least in regards to the TES series.

Bad-Depth, nearly everything is only skin deep and can be taken at face value. If it cannot it is both rare and does not go much deeper than skin.

Good: Graphics. lighting/shadows are the most noticeable improvements to me.

Bad: Not enough impact/consequences to my actions and conversations. complete lack of respect/authority for my status as guild master/thane etc.

Good: Athmosphere, Art direction, the world is filled with interesting content, some good quests and questlines, werewolves, perks, world leveling system, soundtrack, graphics.
Bad : Limited choices in quests and NPC interaction, derp renown system (see the next point), random lines of Hell NPCs always have to say to you, removed attributes (I miss speed especially), no arena, magic system, no spellmaking, short guild questlines
Ugly: Horse animations. And Delphine.

Good: the open world. Its simply amazing.

Bad: bugs. While they haven't affected my game (I'm on PS3) I've heard that they've been a problem in major quest lines for some people.

(Good) An amazing open world with great options for exploration.

(Bad) The Companion and Mage Guild quests are way too short and rushed, so it feels like you can get promoted to the top too early.

Bad: Provides no lasting nourishment.

(I hope it's solid food for the modders.)

Bad:
* When you see a hand placed dead draugr, etc, on a table you cannot resurrect it with any raise dead spell
* When you conjure a daedra in front of a Vigilant of Stendarr they don't attack it
* Civil war camps can't be wiped out because the camp officers are essential
* Dual wielding daggers is much slower than dw any other weapons and don't receive speed bonuses from perks
* There is a quest reward staff that allows you to summon a dremora - and it attacks you after you summon it
* Falkreath looks like Riverwood, Dawnstar looks like Morthal, and all these places have no carriage service
* Enchanting menu is awful, certain effects are not allowed on certain items, and some effects ( ghostblade ) can't be learned through disenchanting
* Loot is terrible, and you may find yourself solving a puzzle only to be rewarded with 15 coins

Good:
In a way, almost as good as Gothic 3. But not really.
