Heat. So much heat. There was a high of 38 today. And it was humid. Oh so very humid. I can stand heat, I just hate humidity.

:hugs:
I'm actually a little surprised you didn't pop in sooner, summer.

On topic, I don't mind it all that much. Today it was 85 degrees, but felt like 100 thanks to the humidity. Not fun. I can't stand any heat above 80 or so.

Extreme heat? Not really a problem in Bangkok. Oh wait...

Spending 20 minutes in the sun will burn me to a crisp.

I may be be a strange one here but my feet love summer heat & the rest of me prefer a cooler climate & my feet don't do well in the cold.

I just wish the wasps would stop flying between my monitor & my face (though I have yet to be stung by one)

@summer (the mod): you're OK my book.

I like summer. I don't mind the heat, I never have. I don't seem to get as hot as other people either. It stays around 103-105F here in high summer. I like the bugs buzzing around, the wind in the green trees and the animals. Its like the land breathes life. I HATE winter on the other hand. The barren trees, the stupid cold (I hate being cold) getting sick. Its like the land is dead, contrary to summer. I do like Christmas time though.

I usually don't mind summer too much, but this year it has been very hot. The humidity has been in the triple digits for most of this month. <_<

Wait....it can be over 100% humid??

EDIT: unless you mean it was 100 percent for a whole month...thats crazy.

I don't mind summer or winter, it's just when either one drags on longer than it should that I become annoyed. Here, the warm weather lasted until about May, which has me loving Winter at the moment. Also, because my name is Summer, people think it's funny to say "WHY DID YOU MAKE IT SO HOT SUMMER LOLOL." That gets old after a while.

The summer is my least favorite season, mainly because of the heat. Fortunately, so far this summer pretty much just consisted of rain and thunder and not that much heat :)

And fortunately the humidity hasn't been much of an issue either, which it usually is.

My only hate is the mosquitoes. But there are so many of the [censored]'s that isn't much of a consolation. Can't even go walking at nights anymore.

Yeah, mosquitos are a big problem. I'm still itching from bites that I got last sunday.

Yep. I live next to the woods so I get them inside the house every time I have to let the dog out as well as outside. Can't stand the things.

The only thing I hate about summer are the vicious blood svcking flies that chase me when I'm running. Also, wasps, bees, and other stinging creatures that think the sidewalk is their territory and chase me for miles until I'm gone.

I hate summer for an entirely different reason. DAMN INSECTS!

Summer is not worth it with all the insects flying around, crawling around and generally just trolling you whatever you do. I also hate spring because I'm allergic to a tree that blooms at that time. I love winter, the pureness of the snow, knwoing that there will not come an insect flying at you is a great feeling!

Well, I'm British so I don't really know what heat actually is.

That said, I much, much prefer Summer to Winter, and heat to cold, which I find to be much more uncomfortable.

It's not sunny enough in Vancouver. It's rained far more than I would like this summer.

I like summer, it's when the sundresses come out. :hubbahubba:

Indeed, I just got back from a 3 week trip all around British Columbia and we had quite a bit of rain there.

He probably meant the heat index. The humidity was probably fluctuating between the mid 90s and up to 100 there. With the dewpoints being above 70 almost every day. When you have 90 degree weather mixed with a dewpoint over 70 you get an air temperature that feels like it's 10-15 degrees hotter than it actually is. You never ever want to be outside in weather with a dewpoint over 70..unless you're one of those crazy types!

Also, it's 72 degrees here right now with a dewpoint of 70. Which means that going outside, even though it's only 72, feels like I'm walking into a spider web of heat.

All too true - isn't summer that time of year where we get warm drizzle?

Having some sort of Celtic/vampiric blood in me, sunlight and heat are not my friends, even though I want them to be. And I find it much easier to warm up if cold, than to try to escape too much humidity.

I'm a winter, night, cold person myself, but summer (even here in Olde Blighty) does have one advantage: Vitamin D.

Oh yes, I hate the heat. I'm quite sore to heat, I sweat like hell when it's warm.
What I also hate about summer is all the freaking mosquitos and Horse-flys. They should all be killed.

Otherwise I like summer. B)

I hate summer, and I live by the sea. I'm always hot, even in colder weather, so I feel much better in winter. We've had a lot of rain lately, it's around 25°C now and I still feel like I'm burning.
On the other hand, there are WAY less mosquitoes this year than, well, any other year. Usually it's hellish with the bugs and heat, but now it's actually bearable.

I don't like Summer here in Blighty. When it's not raining and freezing like it is most of the time, along comes a 'heatwave' and it usually gets too muggy and humid, very uncomfortable too.

Despite the chaos it's caused (though its never really affected me), the last couple year's snow I've actually enjoyed.

I love Summer... maybe because its so short-lived here in Canada, I'll take what I can get! Its 40 degrees celcius with the humidity today and I'm loving it!

You're not human.

When it's over 35*C AND very humid I would gladly kill someone to turn down the temperature by 10 degrees. This makes me human.

I love summer. People are out, beaches are packed, and there's tons of events to fill time. Summer rules in my town.
