I loathe summer.

Post » Sat Jul 30, 2011 5:24 am

I just spent a good 15 minutes with my head in a freezer.

Anybody else have these problems of supreme heat?

The heat is part of the problem, but I really hate all of the bugs that come out to play. I'll take winter over any other season. The most holidays, the best atmosphere, no bugs, and it's a lot easier to get warm than it is to get cool.

And hear I was thinking that you were talking about our wonderful mod :whistling:

96 degrees today and humid, tack on an extra 10 to that at work and you've got the makings of a miserable day.

It's not summer that I don't like, or even so much the heat, but it's the damn humidity that'll get you. :swear:

I quite like summer, but the heat can often be rather pants.

Then again, being English I have a genetic predisposition to always be annoyed about the weather.

Yes, I hate summer, not being a fan of extreme heat or sunlight, which California has both of in spades, oh boy. I'm sick of always being sweaty and exhausted, screw you combination shorter nights + light sensitivity + incredibly light sleeper.

Got it car after work, temperature on my cars panel read 103....yea....I hate it. I can't wait until it's cool out and I can ride with the windows down and sun roof down without my skin cooking.

Put shades on when doing so.

It works. :disguise:

My windows are always shut but bugs still manage to get in through my air conditioner. I've found a ladybug in my room, and that really creeped me out.

I hate heat, running 4 desktops/servers in a 6ft radius of my desk makes my room extremely hot, plus laptop. Plus I spent the last 10 days on vacation in a house that doesnt believe in using Air Conditioning until its 91 or hotter.....I dislike it.

Tch, try having a huge flying beetle casually land onto your keyboard at night. It then hid under the keyboard and suddenly crawled out the moment I calmed down, then flew around the room. The [censored] thing made bumping sounds when it hit the walls. I hate summer so much. No more scary flying bugs, please... :cryvaultboy:

Yeah all last week it was above 90 here. Today it was about 88 or so but the dewpoint has been in the 70s. So golfing wasn't too great, and work tonight will be less great because the heat and my lack of sleep means I'll be more tired than usual. At least it's the last day of the week for me.

Beats closing yourself in a small bathroom a moment before realizing a wasp got in there somehow.

It's not the heat of summer or even the humidity thta I hate. I't s the fact that I sufer from Hayfever and as such am basically suffering from the end of April right through to September with the pollen being in the air. Everyone I know thinks I'm weird for loving the rain in summer.

i think summer's pretty neat, actually. now FREDDO, on the other hand...

i cannot stand heat. i've lived in the southern states for almost twelve years now, but i was born and raised in New York and my heart longs for the Blizzard of '96 every day. i've always loved the cold. i try to keep my room at a refreshing 60F/15C all the time but it's virtually impossible to do that and still be able to afford the electric bill.

winters in Florida are the best, though. during the day it's warm enough that you can go swimming without it being SWELTERINGLY HOT, but some nights it's like 30F and it feels so incredibly good.

My windows are always shut but bugs still manage to get in through my air conditioner. I've found a ladybug in my room, and that really creeped me out.

i once had this gigantic furry moth break into my room through my air conditioner somehow. i was just chilling on my computer and suddenly i hear BZZT and it lands on my monitor and freaks me the [censored] out.

i let him go outside, though. i love moths, they're the best.

Rhek, I'd be more than happy to shuttle all of my fog and wind your way. You are welcome to it.

Agreed. I much prefer cold weather to hot weather; hot weather just drives me absolutely insane and makes me very apathetic.

Plus there's the sun getting in your eyes all the time, allergies, and bees(I've got a major phobia of those things). I HATE summer. :flame:

On the other hand, I love fall. Cool weather, pretty colors, and the days aren't as short as they are during winter(love winter weather, but it gets dark way to early for my tastes).

I agree completely.

I've never been stung by a bee, because I am inside, fixing my old Inspiron . 530. Curse you Dell. CURSE YOU!

I don't live near the coast. I see clouds about five days a year, during that period where the temperature randomly goes up or down 20-30 degrees per day and one day it's sunny and the next it's rainy and then one time you hear hail but but the time you look out the window the clouds are already skedaddling over the horizon.

It's not sunny enough in Vancouver. It's rained far more than I would like this summer.

I like summer, it's when the sundresses come out. :hubbahubba:

This except extend the range from March through the end of October. I'm friggen miserable and can't wait for winter. It could snow up to my eyeballs and I wouldn't complain because at least then my allergies won't be aggravated.
