Making Skyrim Better

Post » Thu Jun 28, 2012 4:09 am

also large skirmishes between the legion and stormcloaks while the civil war is going on taking place through out the land would be cool

i only say this because as the owner of the 360 version (my pc wouldnt do this game justice) otherwise id be all over mods

fishing - i can cut wood and tan hides, why cant i fish? lol just add variables to the size and weight of every fish in skyrim. catching a giant murderfish would be awesome (forgot the name)

having a child to raise to be a follower would be cool
and a reason to even have marriage

And that's a good thing, is it?

If you're an altoholic like me. Also, it's neither good nor bad, however it IS the point in getting married (and a free house and free money).

That was the question which was asked, and answered. :P

Nope, it's still icky. You don't have children so they can be your servants when they grow up. That's just wrong.

That's PRECISELY why you have children. Methinks you've got none.

Why?

because destruction magic gets weaker and weaker as you lvl up.

unlike all other combat styles.

Footprints on snow and clothing and hair reacting to wind? What do you think this is? A Playstation 2 game? :teehee:

a hardcoe mode
with hunger and limb crippling and and thirst and all that good stuff

I'm really surpriced it didnt make it onto skyrim, with all the hiking and what not. also without a system like this food items become useless

even if it was just in small ways like shooting people in the knees with arrows slows them down for a couple of seconds and what not

skyrim feels really empty i wish more random people were in the cities. unamed npc's that are just there to add to the population

also i miss repairing weapons. why was that taken out?

and finally

animal viarety. not enemy viarety but animal viarety. im beggining to think that the only thing that anything eats in skyrim is deer. where's the boars? or some other made up food animal.

OK. I thought you meant it needed to be weaker. I do agree it needs to be buffed. My 2nd character is casting expert destruction spells and they seem weaker than the apprentice spells.

I can agree, with the stipulation after skill 60. Before that, it (meaning enchanting + destruction) scales pretty well, compared to smithing + one handed at similar levels.

Because you're the ONLY one who misses that.

I said when they grow up, not when they are children and under your authority. Maybe the Dovahkiin's kid grows up and doesn't want to be an adventurer, maybe he wants to work for Belethor down at the general goods store. But the OP proposes having the game provide offspring so they can be followers when they grow up, that's basically having a kid for the purpose of creating another person who only exists to serve your whims and needs. Even with an underage child, that attitude is all kinds of messed up IMO.

It's ok... I don't have kids either. :P

It's way messed up, I was just playing devil's advocate. I'm sorry.

That said, I don't think having a kid should be in the game at all. The entire idea is silly, and it would end up rushed through some magical means, or else you'd have to spend 18 (or so) in game years raising them, only to find out that they hate you, and want to be a farmer in hammerfell.

You just had to type that. It's bad enough that I have to hear that every time I walk past him. Now I'm going to load up Skyrim and kill him. I hope you are happy.

Top 1. Fix all the existing bugged items before adding any other (items that can't be improved, that don't count toward the armor skill requirement, that don't work at all etc.)

that has an even smaller chance of happening than all the hopes and dreams that are being posted right now.

besides i think its the gamebryo engine we have to thank for those problems anyway

I wish they would fix the Dark Brotherhood http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Shrouded_Cowl?action=edit&redlink=1. I hate that the only way for the mask to show up is by playing as a non-beast race female. To me it seems like it's a simple bug/glitch to fix.

Is it a bug/glitch though, or is it intentional?

One thing that irritates me is the inventory menu. It would be nice if it were organized better. One example would be potions. How about having all poisons with poisons, health and healing together...etc.

i read this and didn't need to read further. THIS is what i want. it would be such a simple patch

Or worse. They want too be an adventurer doing quest that have no impact at all once they are completed.

It has something to do with the males beard clipping though the mask and the same thing with the beast-race's muzzle. So instead of finding out what the problem is and fixing it. They just disable it for them.
