Man, How Awesome would it be to see Count Hassildor in Dawng

He's a count right? Hes rich? Maybe he's funding the dawnguard from the shadows, because a castle, weapons, armour, horses are PRETTY expensive...

I don't think he'd be cool with these kind of vampires.

What are you talking about he was a vampire lord the whole time

He hated most vampires thats why he didn't feed or anything and had to stay locked away in his castle at all times

I did wander what happened to Old Haasildor when i first became a Vampire in Skyrim so it would be nice.
It's also be nice to see a Vampire who isn't an evil muderous beast , and yes i know the court mage -sybil?- at solitude is a vamp but she seems to torture and feed on prisoners in the dungeons ..unless after leaving Skingrad he became a lot more vicious, perhaps he joined the vampire lords - although not being a volhikar vampire they probably just killed him-

^This, he actually hated the majority of Vampires, mostly the ones who gave up their humanity and sanity, he is one of my fav npc characters in Oblivion

Didn't he get cured in Oblivion though?

No.

You do find the cure for him, but it's for his wife. He wants her cured so she can die a peaceful death. The good Count, he enjoys his Vampirism quite a bit.

It would be cool to see him leading another secret faction of Vampires that actually hunt other, feral vampires. They would be the most skilled vampire hunters around

No. By cool I mean that he wouldn't like being with these evil vampires who want to block out the sun and devour souls.

That court mage.. is a vampire? I never even knew, where does the game state that?

My favourite NPC from Oblivion...it would be so awesome to see him in Skyrim.

Same here as well, and the fact that vampires had so much content in Oblivion with Hassildor playing a role in that quest made me become a vampire just to get more gold  And man did I get a lot of it.

It is sort of suggested a few times... plus she shows up with detect dead not detect life..
plus when she attacks you for -punching the Jarl- she uses Vampirric Drain.. that was the real giveaway.

I see.. I never bothered to attack anyone in there, so I didn't pay much attention otherwise. I just get her quest as well as the other ones and go on my way.

Although I suppose clicking one of her dialogue options would have told me too.

Actually, I just remembered how she mentions raising Torygg when he was a kid.. and then the dialogue option "You look very young" that I never bothered to click on, simply because I was more interested in what happend between Ulfric and Torygg. Not sure why I didn't see that.. I simply assumed she wasn't one because her quest to send me to kill another one. Whoops

That and if you take the time and the lighting is right, she has the eyes of a Vampire. I noticed it by accident in dialogue with her, I think it would've been very cool if they had written in a dialogue option where she coyly mentions vampirism when your character is a vampire. Or maybe they have and I just haven't run across it yet.

Btw, When I seen the Castle in the daylight....It looked a lot like Skingrad
Oh my god, I remember that guy. He blames you when you kill his wife when trying to cure her vampirism. I remember in my playthrough that screwed me over because I needed him for another quest but he wouldn't talk to me because of it.

Maybe if he was somehow working with the Dawnguard, to oppose the Volkihar (or whatever type they end up being) vampires.

Huh.. never noticed that either. What with her hood and all, I never payed much attention to her eyes specifically. Still, her words should have hinted at it and it didn't click to me.. but in the end, it's just another one of those small details I missed.

I would not mind if he was a part of it in fact I would be glad to see him he was probably the most interesting and intriguing NPC in that game. He might have something to do with the Dawnguard, but what would a vampire have to gain by working with vampire hunters, are these other vampires that much of a threat or he could appear somewhere else in the add on not working for or against the vampires or the Dawnguard.

He did feed on people. The vampire woman in the prison bottled the blood of prisoners for him. However, they were actual criminals even if some were minor thieves.

Well, it's clear that Hassildor has no love for vampire-kind (going as far as to exterminate those uncivilized vampires who near his domains). It could be that his benevolent spirit makes him decide to stop these vampires from becoming too powerful for mortals to handle...or he realizes that no sun means no crops, and no sun means progressively colder temperatures and both of those mean the eventual extinction of man and mer.

The greatest deception of all would be if Janus Hassildor founded, or supported the Dawnguard in his capacity of Count of Skingrad, hiding his vampirism even from the vampire hunters (if anyone could, it's Janus). Perhaps he feels that the only people who could threaten or kill him are other vampires, so he works to exterminate those others.

Spoiler
No he doesn't. He knows full well the cure will kill her since she refused to ever feed.
