Mistakes you've noticed in media

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 1:24 am

All the cable news channels are bad. I wouldn't say FNC is any worse than MSNBC, and CNN is only slightly better than both.

Really, if you want to know anything about news or world events, these cable tv stations are the last places you should be turning to regardless of who they are.
Yep. You want mistakes in media, look no further than the news.

Not many would learn Hebrew if they were not Jewish.

Adolf Eichmann learned Hebrew.

I thought it was funny. just incorrect.
It wasn't meant to be correct, the joke probably stems from the stereotype of Jews not being very athletic.

Finnish media is full of factual errors. No one cares, since it's all just about boobs and ass these days. If you want news, you gotta do some digging or just learn English.
As for TV programs and films, I don't try to find errors there since I know TV is about making money not educating people.

Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck has been removed from FOX News. It's like removing a rotted finger from an already rotting corpse.

I was just watching The Big Bang Theory and they were talking about what species they would choose to form with. and Howard said that he would choose Kangaroo as he would be a Kangajew and he said that he would be the first of his people to dunk. Well The writers clearly didn't know that Shaq is Jewish  what mistakes in writing have you noticed in media recently?
Since they are nerds (the characters in the series, not the writers), how should they know about famous sportsmen?

I'd go criminally insane

^ That ^

Also, a lot of the "journalists" for gaming "news" sites apparently don't know about "runes", because, in describing the way in which Corvo levels up his supernatural abilities in Dishonored, they constantly refer to him finding "ruins".

They're not the same thing, you bloody idiots.

You must mean the two (yes, two :lmao: This is a small country :hehe:) tabloids? The TV news don't have much obivious mistakes (or i'm oblivious to them ), but i've noticed them having opinions in their news lately. And the higher the channel number, there more they have opinions ;)

I think they probably mean the Jewish people, and not the religion.

Yes, it has been established that the OP made a big mistake and now he looks like a big doodie head.

The number of times that the Union Flag is hung upside down in both domestic and foreign British appearances; it's bad enough when the French do it let alone when it's at a United Kingdom function.

Yeah, those two.
Don't watch TV anymore however. MTV3 and Nelonen are all about boobs and America, and Yle is following the leader on that one.

The few papers with obvious right-wing bias sometimes make me feel ashamed of being Finnish, especially the comments sections in their webpages.
Then there's Magneetti with it's totally crazy Jews-rule-the-world and global warming denial crap.
And don't let me get started on 7 P?iv??.

And as if copying America wasn't enough already, as you said media is dividing into political camps. It's easy to spot what channel and what paper votes for what party.

It's a movie about a board game that has no narrative qualities in any way...it is a challenge to belittle it any further.

The media usually portrays Obama as a good hearted rock star.

I find this to be a mistake.
