A news items during the weeks, 2 police shot, 2 youths in a car, it was reported on the news, (If you want to see real mistakes watch any 24-hour news network...particularly when something juicy is just beginning to break and they're falling all over themselves trying to milk it for ratings. It's pathetic, really.) they said that the people in the car had shot up a nightclub and the police responded by opening fire on the car, killing the driver and injuring the passenger.
What had really happened when finally reported correctly by a news agency that wasnt rushing to be the first one to get an exclusive story, was that the car had driven up onto the curb and hit a woman and drove over her, she ended up under the car, the police shot at the 2 people in the front seats none were killed both were injured and taken to hospital, in the original report they didnt say there were also passengers in the rear, and that the driver was 14 years old and the driver side passenger was 18 and they were both under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and already had police records.
Not untypical of news reporting here, rarely do you get any real facts.
