Is there any mods that makes it so the character doesn't make any sounds, like with power attacks or being hit, or atleast minimal sounds? My character sounds nothing like they look when they get stabbed... and it is kinda annoying...

I'm looking for a magic texture that's compatible with LAME, In the screenshots thread I see some beautiful fire textures so I wonder what that's apart of.

LAME is sometimes partnered with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12466, and you can set either to provide the elemental textures.

That'll teach me to read the whole description, as I came up with the same result earlier and I thought it was just some transportation mod, anyway thanks. :teehee:

If http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/1760/obhair.jpg is the hair you're after, it's by Sulpyun. Or possibly converted from a Sims 2 resource by Sulpyun. In a brief look I did not find it on its own anywhere. I think it's part of the Moonshadow Elves race (it's on the Nexus, but I can't link it because I think it's got advlt content), and has been used as a resource in other cosmetic/race mods since. (Like In my example pic, where it's part of the Kawa-Khajiit race.) There are some other similar hairstyles in the screenshots for Moonshadow Elves, if that's close but not it.

It might also be included in http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24171. That was the only promising thing I found searching the Nexus and PES for Sulpyun.

It is that hair. I was able to find it in the version of MSE that has the hairs and and eyes already installed.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31288 In case anyone else was looking for it as well.

Thanks KSG XD

EDIT: I have been looking extensively for a certain alternate start mod. If I recall correctly, you start out in a ship in anvil, or that is one of the choices anyways. (Why always Anvil? Leyawin is near water and so is IC :P) Plenty of those, but the Emperor is still alive and the Dragon Fires are still lit. The way to begin the main quest is by entering the Temple and standing near the fires, then 3 guards will approach shortly and arrest you. Thus begins the MQ. Haven't been able to find it though and it is bugging me. I keep coming up with AS Revamped, and that is not it.

It could be this one, although the Emperor is dead and you need to enter the sewer to get the amulet. And the dragon fires are of i think(never checked.) plus you can either start in Anvil( :D ) or the Imperial City.

Can anyone tell me what the name of http://i53.tinypic.com/f6zpc.jpg outfit is? The picture is of one of my old characters and I can't remember what it was called.

Are there any mods that make the graphics nicer but not a graphics overhaul?

Maybe this one, they improve the original Oblivion textures.

Are there any mods which improve the enchantment shaders for effects? E.g. flames for fire damage.

I have LAME but i'm not a big fan of the effects especially the shock effect.

There's also Alternate Roleplay Start or something of that nature which let's you pick traits that set up a backstory as well as giving u the option of starting nearly anywhere in the game. But your example seems to be moreso the alternate ship arrival combined with a mq delayer mod

Edit; Glad you found it! That actually looks rather interesting and a way better start for the mq than the other mod. But if your avoiding the mq like I tend to do the one illius linked works nicely

Yeah, with this one you do not automatically get the Amulet and as such you can ignore the MQ as long as you do not go to the sewers. :)

I had tried a few alternate start mods, but never liked how in order to begin you had to pick up the amulet, usually off of a rat in the sewers. One of the most powerful and/or important items in all of Cyrodiil, quite possibly Tamriel, and it is on a dead rat.
I like that with IOM is actually makes some sense, you get to see the Emperor. But you can start it whenever you like still.

There's several there actually, just do a search for Visual Enchantment, and you'll get several.

Howdy, all! I've just recently returned to Oblivion after a couple years of being Windows-free and unable to play it. I've found most of the mods I used to use, as well as some great new ones, but there's one major quality-of-life mod I haven't been able to re-locate. Basically what it did was allow you to use ctrl-space to select (the modder's concept of) the default option from menus. e.g., Start the game, hit ctrl-space, and it automatically clicks "continue", "yes". There was also looping behavior built in, so you could click a repair hammer, then ctrl-space on the repair screen and it would click items at an insanely fast speed until you ran out of either hammers or things that needed to be patched up.

Unfortunately, despite my clear memory of this mod's function, I have no recollection of its name, I haven't been able to come up with any good search terms to find it, and the OBSE-based mod list seems to have been removed from the front page at obse.silverlock.org (despite all the links still claiming that it is there...). Does anyone know what it's called and/or have a download link?

I just read the description of IOM - Main Quest and it certainly looks very interesting, i think i might try it out next time. :)

I've been looking for a good mod that changes the third person perspective to be more usable. I've tried the Ultimate Third Person Camera, which actually changes the first person, despite the name. I liked the look, but using ranged spells resulted in too much inaccuracy, especially when using it with DarNified UI's crosshair. Is there any better option that I'm not aware of?

Is there any mod that removes the cue for combat music, allowing the town/dungeon/etc music to continue playing even if the player enters combat mode?

I believe I've now tried every night-eye mod on the nexus. The one that comes closest to what I want is kuertee's mod -- it does retain shadow information, and it looks a lot better than most. But it's really still brighter than I want. Maybe kuertee will add a lower-light shader to the options at some point (hopefully!). But yeah, I think you're right -- I don't think such a mod actually exists.

Hey just went through this thread and saw this, maybe you want to check this one out.http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7327 it has 16 different shaders for the nighteye. They are all nice and as an OMOD you get to pick which one you get to use.You need OBMM 0.9.1 or later to use.

Chase Camera mod by Woodman fixes the Third person's silly camera, without touching first person. My internet is really slow or I'd have a link.

Any ideas on a source of this mod? Even these meshes in general? I <3 that aesthetic.
