Regarding more NPC's around the wasteland, I'd like Fallout's equivalent of Oblivion's Tamriel Travellers. Corepc's trader mod.
I made all of one trader who doesn't have a schedule, just stays in the one place and after looking at other travelling merchants in the game, with their busy schedules, it seemed too daunting
Also Oblivion's equivalent of Crowded Roads. That was a good, fun way of joining the Dark Brotherhood or just going on killing sprees for the hell of it :lmao:

More NPC's in the wasteland would be good, though.

Elder Scrolls like leveling system. Oblivion has XP based leveling system mod, so why can't Fallout have TES-leveling mod? :stare:

Obviously your SPECIAL values wouldn't increase like the attributes increase in TES, but maybe it should affect the learning rate of their governed skills, maybe limit their maximum too? You can't be a master sniper with Perception of 3. Perhaps some perks could be free for advancing enough with certain skill(s) or have more challenge rewards (for example Sniper perk awarded by "Matter of Perception" challenge if Perception requirement is met), while making choosable perks only at every 3 or four levels?

Something like the Mothership Zeta Crew Mod from Fallout 3. My god that is the best mod I have ever played in my entire life, especially since I just got my new comp with Fallout 3 on Ultra settings :D :D :D

But seriously the whole design, time, and work into that mod is amazing, it felt and looks like it was build by a pro, which it has been. Although I'm not sure where a mod like that would fit in considering there is no real place for it, unless you were to take over Camp Searchlight or if the release a MZ type DLC.

- New quests and explorable locations. I don't mind the specifics so long as they don't spit on the writers' vision of New Vegas.

- More hairstyles, for both men and women. Less anime, more practical.

- Greater variety of neck-seam necklaces. The chain necklaces are nice, but when virtually everyone in-game needs one because of a body replacer, they can get repetitive. How about some tribal necklaces?

- Companion mods that can actually hold a candle to the vanilla choices.

And once Dead Money gets released for the PC:
Spoiler
- A mod to return to Sierra Madre, with an actual geographic "entrance" on the main map, and the ability to spruce up the casino, get it fully-functioning, and turn it into your private fortress.

The quest mods are coming, to be certain (I'd expect a surge of quest/adventure plugins by February/March).

I'm also trying to include a companion in my next production. Your requests aren't falling on deaf ears :)

Mods I would like to see----

Just one at the moment, I think that the different levels of armor should be able to be used to repair each other, for example - combat armor should be able to be used to repair combat armor mk 2, etc.
Right now you have to have the exact same type of armor to repair what armor you are using.
In fallout 3 this mod was called something like cross repair armor.

As for me, I would like to see Explosive Entry ported or remade. The game almost forces you to tag Lockpick for fear you will miss out on the best stuff, and in NV hacking doesn't give you an alternative route often enough, as I seem to remember it did in FO3.

I tried to port it for my own use only, but the NV Geck doesn't like the scripts (I think), and I'm not good enough with scripting to know what's wrong.

Actually I think the game needs the mod im planning on making. Gives Arcade Gannon more of a background and lets the player learn about him, his past and for male players flirt more with him. But really we just need more Arcade love in the game and modding community.

I really enjoyed the Alternate Start option in the FWE of FO3, are there any mods of that type out yet?

A mod that lets you craft leather armors from the various animal hides you can collect, with distinct skins and attributes.

Also a mod that compiles all of the male and female body replacers out there, preferably ones with updated armor models, and creates multiple races from them, then uses them to create some variation in the body types of NPCs.

I have been thinking of making something like that for a while now. a conversion of the emaciated and biker robert bodies would help.

Hey, DRG, I'm working on a female companion, Willow. She has questy goodness (one to start her off and a second longer one composed of a few smaller components), a ton of voiced dialogue (new voice acting; not rehashed vanilla dialogue), lots of the kinds of stuff you and I like in a companion mod (detailed personality traits, dialogue to demonstrate it, packages to show that off, etc). She's politically neutral (her story explains why) and doesn't much care what the player does as long as he/she treats her well (but she cares about that) and is unfailingly loyal once the player finishes the second quest. I had hoped to have her finished by the end of January, but I'm not sure that's gonna happen. I think I'm slipping to mid February.

I don't know if she'll hold up to the vanillas, because liking a companion is a personal thing, but she will certainly be a complex companion.

Go to admit, I'm kind've jealous now that you actually managed to get a voice actor -- or are you voicing it yourself? Seems like that's the only option I've got left if I want to move up from audio-splicing, but I don't think many people would like the idea of a paranoid nerd with pyromania tendencies and a Nuka-Cola addiction trailing after them :P.

If it's up to your usual standard, it'll be good. I was referring mostly to mods that are basically doll faces slapped on SCC or whatever they've got for NV, and the ones where the total interaction boils down to "HAI THAR, want to fight to the death for me and carry my crap even though we just met?" "Like, OKAY!" [/rant]

I'm not too picky. I just want a personality... and decent grammar.

But seriously though, I'm very intrigued. Can't wait to see the results. :)

Really? I think that sounds like a fun and interesting companion. Especially if there was some humor thrown in for balance. It'd be great to have a well executed male follower around; the vanillas are very disappointing.

Speaking of companions - more male ones. Even though I have my own I can't release it as it uses Fallout 3 files. Like, almost 150 voice files
Each time I see a new companion in the Latest Files list on Nexus it's female, and nothing exceptionally good or any different from the other 200 already there.

I would like your Ryan in NV. He was good in FO3 even if not finished :goodjob:
Looked like some thought was put into his appearance and personality, unlike mine. Mine had no personality. I still haven't updated it to add more.

I did a quick edit of a mod I downloaded the other week. Fixed up all the companion stuff, tied it altogether, added dialogue, the all-important quest for everything to work, a bit of scripting (very minimal). No companion wheel, but it doesn't need it, plus that usually comes into effect automatically for more human companions. This one isn't. It's a Gecko :hehe:

But, it looks like I'm going have to do my own male companion. It's not really any different making them from scratch from FO3's way, so what I have in mind shouldn't be so difficult this time :)

Way too heavy game to be played within a game. Daggerfall, Arena, or original Fallout might be more realistic. Which reminds me, i once saw mod for Doom 3 that allowed playing the shareware version of Doom 1 with the Doom 3 computer consoles :ooo:

However i suspect Gamebryo would crash just on principle if something similar was attempted :D

Bolded and italicized to emphasis my primary thought when making that conclusion. :P

But if it does sound like a good idea, I can try and give it a whirl once I knock my current obligations out of the way. The only worry I had is that (aside from people despising my voice, face, and writing) is that he would overlap with too much of Arcade's personality since he'd use sarcasm and dry wit as well, even with the attempts to distance my attempt by focusing on science vs. medicine, etc.

True, very true. Although, looks like I'm about to join those ranks then since I'm putting one out in the next couple of days (though hopefully it will stand out just a little bit :P)

I actually was intending to port him over, and had written a good deal on his dialogue and updated his face a bit. The trouble is, the guy I was intending to voice act it just stopped responding to my messages several months ago. :( So in the meantime I've just been doing audio-recycling, even though it's hell working with characters like Marcus.
