so, 6 months in and still no news on expansions......

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 10:58 pm

Am I the only one that thinks this is a bit ridiculous? I mean if people want the game to play perfectly before th DLC or expansion is announced they will be waiting forever! No game like skyrim ever plays 100 percent perfect.

Im patient, otherwise id have been on here much more often. I come on here every 2 weeks to see if there is news. The only thing I have seen so far is that they screwed up magic even more.

They are making bigger DLC than Fallout 3, that might explain the delay.

Also E3 is in the corner...

The fact that they do not have DLC ready is a good thing. That means that they did not hold back content just to release it as DLC later and the more time it takes for them to release DLC, the more patches they have to release (they will only patch the game until all DLC has been released, after that patches becomes a pure economic loss for them).

Actually i think it's promising. Like back in the old days when games got proper expansion packs that took time to make instead of quick short DLCs.

Not true, they patched fallout after DLC's were released. DLC's create problems of their own. So there will need to be patches.

This.

Yes, they HAVE mentioned that the DLC will be bigger than Fallout 3. This alone is enough to show that they're practically putting a game inside of a game.

I never even knew about E3 though. That might delay it as well.

DLC that's bigger than Fallout 3?

Anyway I believe they said there's news of some type coming up this very month. What else would it be but DLC?

There are more than 500 marked locations in SKyrim. After 6 months (admittedly, I haven't played every day nor I use to play for more that 1-2 hrs at a time) I found only about 400. I'm not interested in DLC like Knight of the Nine for Oblivion... too small, too few things to do and after the quest was over I didn't feel like replaying it again. I want something bigger like Shivering Isles and I'm willing to wait for it.

As far as I know, not all version of Fallout 3 were patched, and not all problems was dealt with. The PS3 version is still unpatched and completely broken with the DLC installed (maybe they patched and I did not hear about it, but the last time I checked, it was true).

It is all a matter of economy: if there are enough users and if they think that the patch will sell more copies of the DLC then they work on it, otherwise the resources / man hours are allocated elsewhere.

Untrue.

I own Fallout 3 on PS3.

The only buggy DLC I've played was The Pitt, and the only bug in The Pitt for me would be the skipping lag in specific areas.

had to reply to this right quick. They said they would be giving this game more attention than all previous titles, so have faith.

Return to Solstheim!

And if I'm optimistic, Cyrodill (and then Morrowind, High Rock, Black Marsh, Valenwood etc.)The land masses are obviously in the game just to make the download less intensive.
