"No more! I yield! I yield!"

Almost always. Wish they would run away sometimes, though. I mean, if they're begging for mercy, why would they then attack you again? Doesn't really make sense.

Some NPCs DO yield, though It might be hard to tell which ones will. The "RACE" named NPCs usually yield and become friendly, while some others will run away and hide.

Oh and Highwaymen, I love running into those guys. It makes me feel like I'm doing a great service to the gods and their people by ridding Tamriel of these idiots.

Hand over all your belongings!

I always answer: Back off. Now.

because speech never seems to be high enough they always say: Nice try but im not afraid of you, now hand it over or ill gut you like a fish!

At which point I always answer: I don't have time for this.

And they scream "Don't you walk away from me!" at which point I turn around with a power attack that knocks their idiot head right off their shoulders.

God I love that.

Usually I use the time it takes them to stnad back up to let my stamina build back up for a finishing power attack.

I teabag them or shield bash them until they stand up, then fus ro dah them. If they stand up again its usually an arrow, spell, or axe to the face.

Those fools...

But yes the I Yield thing seems like yet another unfinished/dropped feature, it's rather annoying.

I let a bandit yield once, he proceeded to try and attack me after he healed up a bit. Would have liked to see some better mechanics with the yielding.

Yes. I have long wanted something there so it doesn't seem like everyone is suicidal in TES. Surrender, really run, something.

I don't know what they could do with it though (maybe some option to take them to a jail or something, or some Mount and Blade style ransom broker). Make em drop their weapons and run before I count to ten and if I ever seen them again...

I yield them to the mercy of Stendarr. For they shall find none from me.

When they say that and I waited they would just stand up again and continue fighting, so there is no need to let them live.

I really do wish yielding did something. Because my Chaotic Good rogue would've let some guards live if they just stopped fighting and ran away.

My Orc just kills them all. They never actually run away they just crawl about then get back up and attack me.

several times I've had bandits attack immediately after "surrendering" and of course I end their sorry existence in Skyrim; on the other hand, If an enemy truly does surrender and run around saying I submit, you win! then I'd prefer to leave them alone, they've learned their lesson after seeing their best friends fall to the poisoned tips of my arrows

This needs a mod to fix it. Yielding NPCS should have a 75% chance of fleeing after you let them live and a 25% chance of trying to kill you. I've tried it 100 times and they always come back to fight you once they get on their feet. Totally lame.

The only time it works right is if you get into a verbal war with a neutral person, like a traveling orc who's kind of a [censored] you can get into a fight with her and she will yield and walk away. Makes for a good training dummy cause you can evoke her repeatedly and level up. Just make sure you can take her, lol. So her and some fist fight people always work right, but all bandits/bad guys are hard coded to KILL KILL KILL even if they scream yield.

Why do bandits yield? I let one recover once, and all he did was attack me again. o_O

Their should be a special finishing move for enemy NPCs when they yield.

That would be cool.

Do you guys ever "yield" when your enemy pleas? Just out of curiously. Or you guys just continue with what you're doing?

I try to sometimes. Unfortunately, Lydia finds mercy to not be in her vocabulary and she runs them through with her sword even when I put my weapon away. lol

I would have exxepted yields from enemies I weren't required to kill(at least some of the time), but since they will attack as soon as their health regenerate a bit I don't see a point in it.

I yield should open up the opportunity for dialogue with a get the hell out of her intimidate option, higher degrees of persuasion could allow you to demand more like give me your money and get out of here and or increase the threshold where they will yield(like an extra 1% health for every 10 points in the skill).

What exactly did you catch that guy doing when he surrendered? :hubbahubba:
