"No more! I yield! I yield!"

Do you guys ever "yield" when your enemy pleas? Just out of curiously. Or you guys just continue with what you're doing?

I let a bandit yield once, he proceeded to try and attack me after he healed up a bit. Would have liked to see some better mechanics with the yielding.

I did once, they just pant on the ground for a while and then attack you.

No mercy from me. I kill them. They're just going to get up and attack me again anyways.

I did once. After catching his breath the ugly miscreant hissed "This isn't over yet!" and resumed fighting.

No more mr. nice guy since that day.

I like to watch them struggle and beg for a while before ending their sorry lives. So yes, I do yield, in a manner of speaking.

I've yielded multiple times just to have the person stand up and attack again, so I don't show mercy anymore. If I get into a fight I don't stop slashing until they stop moving, it's too dangerous to be merciful because the second I am they go in for the kill. <_< Except for legionaires....they always get up and run away in those situations.

I did once, but they begin to attack again as soon as their health regenerates so it makes letting them live kinda svck.

Ooh, I'm really surprised with the answers so far here, cuz for me I just finished up the business no matter what they say. :toughninja: (I guess this is my sadistic side.. lol)

I wish they would actually yield, allow you to disengage, loot them of any valuables, and then become neutral to you (surrendering immediately if you make a threat against them)

It's difficult playing a Paladin of Stendarr when the "enemy yield" mechanic is purely cosmetic.

Once or twice since I was suspicious they'd just heal up and attack again, I was right. I've had people run off straight away, if you can't find em then they'll despawn so technically they did flee but it's more a case of you wondering away from their hiding spot then anything else. I once even had a case where a bandit was in "Flee" mode when I hadn't even hit him yet and he was still on 100% Health... he knew the difference in power between me and him I guess; Ashame his 3 friends weren't so smart.

Pfft. I treat them to a delicious double casted firebolt right into their faces to launch them off whenever I can. Once you attack me to take my life and possessions, yielding is NOT an option.

I yield should open up the opportunity for dialogue with a get the hell out of her intimidate option, higher degrees of persuasion could allow you to demand more like give me your money and get out of here and or increase the threshold where they will yield(like an extra 1% health for every 10 points in the skill).

Like everyone else, I tried to let some poor guy yield but he just got back up, said something like "You'll be so much easier to rob when you're dead!" and came at me. So I impaled him. Since then, no mercy.

I had a Thief yield and actually escape once. Maybe it was a different situation, considering he started a dialogue before assaulting me.
Said something like "you're not worth the trouble", then left.

It would be nice if there would be an option to save enemies that "surrender" but if you just leave them be they just attack you so obviously i have to kill them...

Yeah, that sounds logical, it'd be very interesting if there's such an option.

If I can find a way to do it before someone else does, I will probably make a mod that will allow you to use Speech to recruit enemies who have yielded as followers.

I would also remove (or at the very least increase) the follower limit. 1 follower may still be OP, but I don't want hard. I want a damn army! OF SKEEVERS!

Hey if they want to get up, and fight me so that i can just overpower them them some more that's their choice. More weapon skill for me. at this point in the game its usually the bandits that are stupid. I'm wearing this armor that makes me practically immune to their attacks, and they just keep laying into me till they are panting and tired. I sometimes go walking around the dungeon looking through their crap and examining the environment while they pound into me uselessly with their inferior weapons.

it takes me a while to get to the point to where i can shrug off their attacks like as if it was nothing, and I enjoy watching those bandits trying so damn hard to hurt me.

I honestly wish they would have implemented a run away scared if it takes too long and the attack seems to not be doing anything. like: I cannot best you! I yield! and proceeds to run off. that way the player cannot exploit an easy way to get up to 100 Heavy armor really quickly.

This. Hopefully after the CK releases something like this can be modded in. Vows and Covenants did this for my Oblivion Paladin of Stendarr.

At this point, most every enemy will get right back up and attack you. Sometimes I just shield-bash them and RP as if they just got knocked out instead.

LOL I was thinking about the follower option too..
Maybe a dialogue such as... "If you want to live, join me and follow me til the end!! Or die upon this blade of fury. Your choice." (pardon the cheesiness)
That'd be so awesome. :P
