Most underused armor?

Falmer
I'm still trying to come up with a good idea for a character that uses that stuff.

I'd have to agree with Falmer armor. Who's going to put something one of those nasties wore? On the other hand however, I'm with piinyouri on this. I actually collected a set of it during one of the excursions into the dark and honestly? Made one of my females look surprisingly hot. Will have to come up with some charus chitin to improve it and see what the full set will do.

Scaled armor for light armor Even on a stealth-based character, as soon as it starts showing up I'm already equipped with armor that is twice as good.

Dwarven for heavy. By the time I get access to Dwarven I'm already in legendary Steel Plate armor that is better than base-level Ebony.

idk about others but i've never put on any leather or elven armor with any of my characters....elven is my least fav, even when using my elf.

im still disappointed that with all the dwemer ruins around, theres not a single piece of mithril armor to be found..

The only armor I've worn were full steel, full dwemer, ebony mail/wolf, imperial/wolf, and then blades armor (which I'm currently using).

Imperial Heavy is rare, only on Legates I think?

If you side with Ralof, you kill a legate at helgan, On my first character, I did all of the main quest using pretty much full legate gear

Nightingale armor, obviously.
My character is still wearing most of the Nightingale armor (with the thieve's Guild master's hood).
I'd have to say glass armor is underused - both by me and NPC's. I used to use glass armor back in Morrowind, and a couple of NPC's were fully kitted in glass armor - has anyone seen any NPC's wear it in Skyrim?

at higher levels quests involving thalmor have them wearing full glass armor and weapons...the thalmor embassy and the side quest to rescue the grey mane guy were loaded with glass for me

I've heard of Dunmer characters using it, because it resembles chitin!

I use fur for the barbarian look, but my most underused is any heavy armor besides Orcish! xD
