I usually default to making certain items and I have a preset naming scheme for most of them.

Frost damage and paralyze bow for the slow effect of frost and paralyzing effect of making things easy to hit = Frostwind

Health absorb and paralyze sword = Soul Reaver (I'm a Legacy of Kain fan!)

Most gauntlets = Death Grips

Most boots = Skull Stompers

Armor names are usually Armor of the Apocalypse, Bodybag, or Corpse Casket, I'm usually a necromancer >:3

I usually name items I've made for specific characters after them.

The equipment I make for dead thralls I usually name by the type of thrall it is, for instance for forsworn ravagers I name the items as Ravager bow, Ravager Headress etc... and Volkihar Glass amor and Volkihar Glass boots for Volkihar vampire thralls, but this is so I remember what corpses I put them on.

Rather bland I know, but practical nonetheless. It's kinda needed though since I enchant and upgrade so much.
