Name That Item...

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 2:54 pm

I couldn’t find a thread for this and I am stuck on naming my main equipment. So I call upon the community for a helping hand or just to hear what is out there.

Just state the name of your enchanted item, what kind of item is it, and of course the enchantment. Any other info on your creation is just an added bonus. Thank you and keep it clean. :goodjob:

Dragon Slayer - Daedric Sword w/ Fiery Soul Trap
Dark Soul Reaver - Daedric Bow w/ Fiery Soul Trap
The bow’s name and my other Daedric gear I’m still kicking around.

I tend to give utility items boring names (Blacksmith's Gloves, Alchemist's Ring) so I can find them easily, but... I'm not one for epic names, anyway. My names tend to be more on the silly side, like Elven Bow of Fiery Doom (Fiery Soul Trap + Fire Damage), or Necklace of Great Bargains (Fortify Barter), or Ring of Shootin' n Stabbin' (Fortify Archery + Fortify One-Handed). I also have Warm Fuzzy Boots (Fur Boots with Resist Frost enchant).

Urb?n - Dwarven Bow, 10 Frost Damage
Darkfrost - Ebony War Axe, 10 Frost Damage

That's all I have so far. Im on my third playthrough, this time as a Nord Warrior. My enchanting is weak, but I sure do love crafting and then naming my weapons. Makes it more personal when killing enemies.

Dragonborn for my primary gear
Merchant's for my bartering items

Whenever I enchant something I plan to actually use, a lot of the time I name it something silly so I giggle when I see it. Something gratifying about knowing I just killed a person with something called a LOLhammer (Orcish warhammer, shock damage).

I am easily amused.

Silver Ring with a +20 carrying capacity buff: "Ring of Way-Better $#!+-Toting."

Man it would be sooo much better if they had a running kill list like some FPS games. Like mine would say ,"You have killed dreadlord with @SSCRACKER!" That's the name I gave my first decent crafted mace.

I can't really stay serious when I name my weapons because the ability to name them literally anything you want isa just to much of a temptation for me. If I craft items for followers, I give those items the follower's name like Mjoll's plate gauntlets , etc. But my personal gear + some boredom can result in some rather silly combinations. Mostly I like to poke fun at lord of the rings stuff and other famous items , guess "the killer rabbit" scene in monty python had a more serious impact than I previously thought.....
