New ideas, New features, New fun.

I actually like this idea, although I don't expect it to be added to Skyrim. The next TES game, perhaps?

While I'm not entirely sure how you'd level up a racial perk tree (maybe it wouldn't work like the rest of the skills. Every five levels you gain one point to put into a racial perk, perhaps?), but it sounds interesting none the less. For Altmer you could have ones that provide a large boost to your magicka pool, make it increase faster and ones that improve the effects of various schools of magic. Khajiit would probably gain ones that soften footsteps, allow night vision and the like. I can imagine them having a high level one that gives them detect life. Khajiit don't use their noses enough. ^^

I would actually think it could be like the wolf/vamp trees, racial perk level increases with power usage. although that would make it really easy for an overpowered khajiit.

Actually, Braith is a Redguard, so there's one Skyrim child who is neither Nord or Breton. Her parents are Amren and Saffir, according to the wiki.

In general, I'm open to any story-based content, and keep the bug fixes coming without introducing new bugs.

To anyone looking for multiplayer, check out Elder Scrolls Online.

The other ideas here are good.

I completely agree. There should be more spells to damage enemies as well. Like Telekinesis. Take that novelty, and be able to push and pull people. Stop arrows, even! Pure mages with high Magicka pools should be able to lift enemies into the air and toss them like dolls.

Or a spell to make a copy of yourself, like Sigdis Gaulderson, maybe even have them be weak and cast spells or do weak attacks like the Wispmothers.

Short range teleporting like Orchendor would be neat too.

Or maybe one that drains your stamina to restore Magicka, like Equilibrium but on a less lethal (and less recovering) scale.

Yeah, they need to overhaul magic i can't stand what they did.

I loved force magic in Dragon Age 2. That would be fun for Skyrim as well.

How about a spell where you can make somone combust?

You'd blast somone but then there would be no fire ball the target would just ignite, of course it wouldn't be damaging as a normal fire attack but it would work like a poisin.

This. I was disappointed that elemental damage poisons didnt make it in.

Id like magic creation and the return of arena and with completely unique gear to win/purchase from the arena as a price like gear with enchantments that is not on any other gear in the game and cant be disenchanted at the table.

Yea you'd think that Nords would be even more into areana combat then Imperials.

But i suppose they didn't wan't to bring back memories...

I would welcome a new, upgraded wood elf worshipper of the dohvakiin. always loved killing him. favorite way was shooting him with the bow while i was at cloud ruler temple with him standing at the north gate of bruma. so satisfying when i finally saw that 3x sneak damage notification after a couple hundred arrows.

Hello again guys, another thing i miss was being able to name your smithed armors and weapons, i loved naming my custom sword "The Sword of Truth" (legend of the seeker) those things make us feel that our made items are truly ours, anyone miss the wizards tower? or battlehorn castle? spell crafting is greatly missed, and hopefully Dawnguard is gonna make vampires really cool, werewolfs were so cool with very few cons and many pros, it appears vampires are gonna finally be really fun to play( bethesda didnt pick me for the beta :(......) so we will have to wait and see whats up their sleeves. Let me know what you guys think, how is Dawnguard beta treating you, is it worth the price or do we hold off?

keep the comments coming, thanks!

I could accept multiplayer if it was only implemented in Arena combat.

I think that Skyrim should be co-op. Its a large map and there are so many things to be discovered so why not have a friend tag along. Although it may conflict with the story a bit with the whole Dovakiin thing but the second player could be a person that trained with the greybeards so they could go around with one or two shouts of their choosing. If one dies the other could give a revive potion or something instead of reverting to last save? I loved the arena in oblivion. I liked to gamble and fight in it i really hope that it comes to Skyrim. Maybe it could be in a DLC to rebuild Helgen?

I would just love to see magic be the versatile tool that it was in Morrowind and Oblivion.

Spellbuilding and such, but enchantment should stay the same, as it would be too easy to break the game with it.

I would like to see more weapon/armor designs instead of just one for every type of ore.

And FFS let us kill the killcam if we want to. A toggle for it would be nice.

Another thing that would be nice are some environment spells. Cast a Darkness spell, and the whole area it affects becomes dark. Skyrim is a pretty well lit game, so something like this could be of great use to an assassin depending on his targets. A Night-Eye that's not Khajiit exclusive would also be nice.

And crafting arrows. Use metal ingots, hawk feathers, and whatever else needed (Daedra hearts, wood, etc.) and you'll get 5 or 10 arrows. If some random NPC can be a fletcher, why can't you?

I guess I have to iterate the obligatory spears plea. Its not so much spears (though I am a diehard spear fan), it's the general lack of melee variety. As far as melee goes it seems to be "approach enemy and hack n slash until some one is dead or near dead, retreat, heal, rinse, repeat." regardless of actual style of melee. When so much of the game, in one way or another, revolves around neutralizing hostiles you would expect combat to be a little more nuanced than attack, attack, or block. Or don't be a warrior. The suggestion "add spears" is almost pointless until combat mechanics are expanded.
Weather. yeah. If it's cold, it should affect gameplay. If its windy, it should seem colder (hypothermia effects? Fatigue loss? HP drain? slow? numbness / clumsiness?). If its windy, it should affect trajectories (arrows, dragons, etc). Getting wet and cold shouldn't be something to shrug about.
More flyers? We finally get flying creatures back, but only dragons? What happened to the cliff racers that supposedly gave dragons so much trouble historically?
I'd like to see poison effects: delerium, nasea, vomiting, hallucination, fatigue, sleep, whatever makes sense.
It's hard for me to accept killing a man in full plate without destroying his armor, or my sword. I wouldn't mind locational damage either. More spell effects and/or spellmaking is almost so obvious that its hardly worth mentioning.
The arena of MW and OB were nice considering circumstance. I liked the progressive combatants, but I'd also like the option of just somewhat random NPCs or even the option to setup your own matches (# of opponents, challange aquaintances, NPCs or creatures, to the death or just for entertainment, etc.) Instead of the "arena as a quest line" why not "the arena as and arcade mode" -- just a place for a quick skirmish or a testing ground.

Perks are garbage IMHO. I know that will rile up alot of people, but it runs completely counter to the reason I play TES as an RPG -- you get better at what you do. While we're at it, toss 'leveling up' out too.
.

Cliff racers were driven out by saint jiub. Seriously

For all those people saying "if you want multiplayer just play TES Online" i want to be able to play with one friend on xbox. I would pay another $50 just for a coop dlc. This is a good idea with helgan.

Im probably going to get some hate for this, but I think Mounting Dragons would be AWESOME!! Only if done right though.
If I'm just going to be on the ground walking, and eating people, Im could go Werewolf. I want to fly and fight other Dragons, I think new flying creatures like Griffins, peguas, etc.
Oh, and seance Skyrim is my firs Elder Scrolls, i would love to see the rest of Tamriel.

I'd like them to do something with that massive ocean at the top of the map. Nothing spawns there, and there's nothing there but wasted space. I'd like to fight sharks, sea serpents, big enemies, something other than stupid Slaughterfish (Giant Slaughterfish anyone?). I want the water and ocean to be something, instead of just scenery. More underwater wrecks to explore, underwater caves and ruins.

Harvest ingredients from it, like kelp or something. And there's a certain marine mammal skeleton in Sovngarde. Why aren't THOSE in the oceans? That'd sure be fun to try to kill, and it'd drop some major loot I bet...

More unique locations to find while exploring. More armor/weapons ( and models for both for all of the ore types ). Ways to customize your armor through clothing additions. More unique/legendary armors sets and weapons to be found.

Arena. Spears. Random events. Building a fortress and running it. Minions in said fortress to command. Quests tied into this like defending it from attack, escorting supplies.

I like the suggestions the OP made.
