New vault confirmed... !

And it's an interesting one : the vault 69 itself !

Nothing detailled, except that it's filled with armed amazons-like. Might be interesting to hang around there... or not !

kinda make sense since the vault started with 999 women and one man...but boy they must be ugly by now thanks to inbreeding.

Well I cannot scan the page on zenimax forums. And even so, the magazine is actually in French ! I guess I'll have to believe me.

Anyway, there might be some interesting gender-related quest in that vault. I do believe that the female vault dweller won't react the same as you're a male or a female... !

Yeaah... Nooo... I'm still not convinced.
I'll just not get my hopes up for what could be a troll post. (No offense, but none of us except you have a way of knowing whether or not this is true)

According to the Fallout Bible, 122 if my memories are correct.

And I just saw that Vault 69 was to appear in Van Buren. It makes sense that they put it in NV.

It would make sense for Vault 69 to appear in New Vegas as Thrud stated above, but I need confirmation from a linked source or developer.

Vault 69 will be interesting if it is indeed true, would they still be pretty much untouched by the wastelands? Somewhat like Vault 101 from Fallout 3?

It's a press magazine. On paper. And scans aren't allowed on this board.

Hey guys: Vault 69 is not in Fallout: New Vegas.

Sorry! That article was probably just mentioning something about Van Buren.

While that'd be hilarious, it wouldn't make sense. The Vaults are arranged in a numerical order from left to right and down to up. Vault 69 might've been in Van Buren, but New Vegas is only a small piece of what Van Buren would've been. Your magazine might've misinterpreted that since New Vegas is using Van Buren elements, and were just confirming blatantly wrong things.

Well, that answers gabriel77dan's question...

Would have been fun to explore there though. And could have been humorous too.

Shame - I might have enjoyed myself there.

Well, it's good to stay a skeptic. ;)
But it would have been a nice vault.
But we do have the Jackals who are apparently an all female raider gang.

Shame - I might have enjoyed myself there.

You enjoy the power you have all too much.

Hey Jason ! Thanks for the clarification. The article was quite clear (nothing to do with Van Buren) but I guess that the journalist mistaken.

Sorry for the confusion, guys.

PS : It's quite cool that the dev team hangs on the boards like that. Keep up the good work !

The vault numbers are in the 20s in the Mojave area. 69 is in the midwest.

It probably won't happen, but if it did happen, I'd totally buy it. I'm of course talking about a DLC involving Vault 69.

There are so many ways you can go with this, they could have "evolved" into a matriarchal society, throw in some "Camp" B-Movie moments, they could try to capture you and hook you up into a "breeding" machine, like in "A Boy and his Dog", etc... =p

I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) that Vault 69 is considered canon.
