A normal day in your life

I'm not sure. I think it's the same sort of mythical, make-believe concept as "outside".
OH! So it's like the female orgism! :o

Ditto :-) around here it's not rare to see rabbits and wild deer galloping across your property.

Awesome! Reminds me of how much I'd love to do a bit of hunting now and then.

First, I wake up of course. I then take a quick shower, which usually wakes up my fiance. When I'm finished she takes a shower and gets ready for the day. After she's fully ready she cooks breakfast, and after we eat, we head off for college.

Once college is finished for the day, she heads home via bus, and I drive on over to my job. Once that is over, I head home and get some college stuff done. Once that is done, I sleep, whatever time that may be.

My life isn't all that exciting.

Hey, you're on the way to getting married while still in school. That's awesome in and of itself.

Right.

Seven AM gotta get outta bed. I go downstairs to cereal, grab my bag.

I walk to the bus stop, where I see my friends. They offer me a ride, and I choose between kicking in the front seat, or the back seat.

Around that point I realize that it's friday, and everybody seems to be looking forward to the weekend.

Unimportant stuff.

Than we party. Yeah. Fun. Looking forward to the weekend.

What's a life?
It's this old game I played once. The graphics are amazingly realistic but the gameplay is horrible.

I live in Washington, D.C. I live near Downtown, in a multi-unit Row House on 10th street.

I ride a bicycle. I own a car, but it costs too much to insure, gas up, and park in the District. So, I have it in storage in Florida for when I visit the sunshine state.

I work for the Court system. I assist a Judge in the local trial court. I ride my bike to work everyday, looking as goofy as can be in my full three-piece suit.

I grocery shop often, since I can only carry a dozen things or so in my bags.

I go to law school at Georgetown. I graduate in about 2 weeks and will take the bar exam a few months later. I'll be a lawyer soon if I have my way of it.

this is depressing

LOL. Yeah. Routine is depressing. One usually forgets the small moments though which can make a day.

Edit: The man who tried to break routine though (in a day where people worked 12 hours slave labour) was voted down based on a flawed interpretation in russia and interests:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Marx

Instead, we reach, routinely so, for the dream.

Taken on a tribal society. He wanted people to choose and contribute with what they know and feels like doing. Instead. We live in a society where the man who have the mind to reach for most of the peanuts are encouraged to have the rest of us gather them for him.

It may lead to greater productivity, but does it lead to a greater quality of life?

(Or a better environment for that matter)

Wake up during the day, night, morning, whenever i get to sleep, make a cuppa, check my e-mails and facebook, check snail mail, shop if i have to, otherwise sit around watch tv, surf the net, maybe watch a dvd, eat lots of painkillers, and try to get the incentive to do some drawing and finish off some projects, then back to random sleeping hours.

This seems like a real diverse community, so this could be interesting maybe.... Mine consists of a 10 hour shift working in a warehouse, then grocery shopping on the way home and the remaining time I hang out with family and friends, play Skyrim or browse the web.

What are your days like? What do you do? Etc
What kind of warhouse work do you do? I used to receive kitchen cabinets and put them on palets all day. Sometimes I would go with drivers and deliver kitchen sets. Around 8-12 hour monday through friday. I miss it.

Interesting thread, my days now, are usually the same though they flucuate every 4 weeks to something completly different. Today went something like this:

0600 - Sleep.
1000 - Sleep interrupted.
1130 - Sleep interrupted.
1325 - Wake up, stretch, bathroom, food, fix bed.
1425 - Leave to make money doing yard work for dad.
1725 - Arrive back to house and contemplate what to do while the sun is up.
1800 - Cycle to my local park to write about theories on life observations.
2000 to 0600 - Eat when I return, Games/Forums/Youtube

I also Promote music, so a great deal of time in between the day I go on the internet browsing the forums while listening to music I will be promoting.

A normal weekday consists of this:

6.00am - Wake up, shower, get dressed.
7.00am - Catch bus
8.00am - Arrive at work
12.30pm - Lunch
5.00pm - Leave work, catch bus
6.30pm - Arrive home, make dinner
7.00pm - Study
8.30pm - Computer, gaming, etc.
12.00am - Bed

I don't have a typical weekend day. I like to do something on Saturday, be it something productive around the house, or something that gets me out into the countryside. I particularly love hiking and hill walking. If the weather's not great, I might go to the gym for an hour and then go for a long swim in the pool.

Sunday is my lazy day; I'll usually sleep in, wake up, make a pot of coffee, and just potter around, go online, play videogames, etc.

Get woken by 12 year old getting to school and have customary argument about tidiness of room/tooth brushing/bizarre ratio of jeans and hoodies to pants and socks in the washing.
Eat/watch Cbeebies 'til brain starts bleeding/change the odd nappy/watch the news/do internetz/learn tune/cook/read Winnie-the-Pooh colours/other mundane stuff/get in van, go to a pub to hustle some trade.
Stick on the Horror Channel.
Sleep.

Unless there is a gig, then add drive to gig/set up kit/soundcheck/play banjo and sing backing/take down kit/drink anywhere up to 15 pints of Guinness.

4:45 Wake up
From 4:45 to 5:45 have breakfast and see whats new online. Also, mandatory cup of coffee or tea.
5:45 Get ready to leave
6:15 Drive to school
7:15 Arrive at school (senior year, I just moved to PA, but I am going to finish out the year in my old school in MD)
10:50 head to the community college for my Cisco class
1:45 Drive home
3:15 arrive home
From then to about 11PM I just hang around, work on computers, any random things that may pop up.

All in all, its about 110 miles a day to drive.

My life, to outsiders, would be pretty boring. I like to call it relaxing. Usually. ;)

8am - 5pm is a normal work day here. 9 hours. Usually with a 1 hour break.
That's fairly typical here too, although sometimes it's 9-6pm. And lots of night-shifts around here actually.

Altho, most people I know of are on high-salary tech work, which ends up meaning that you work a lot more hours than that because stuff always needs to be done/there's meetings to attend, so you're staying late. Plus you're on call even when not in the office. So...um...basically work-time never truly ends.

7:05 am - Arrive at school
7:10 am - 2:20 pm - Schooling
2:25 pm - Leave School
2:45 pm - Homework
The rest of the night is spent playing video games and listening to music, or watching anime.

It depends on the days. Mondays and Fridays I usually wake up around 10:00 and Tuesday-Thursday is 6:30 because I have pt at 7:00. Then I go to the classes I have for that day and go back to the dorms when I'm done. I then either just be lazy and surf the web when I'm back, study or hang out with friends in my hall.
