That game is terrible, they put no effort into it, so linear too.

Yeah real life, who needs that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I get the picture that you play the game with maxed out armor and 300 damage weapons at level 25 and complete all the quests on one character. Probably uses the oghma infinium glitch on every character.

If I'm right, try not doing that. Make a character that isn't about being the best, give him a specific role in the world of skyrim, maybe only lightly use one crafting skill rather than heavily use all three (or just not at all). Don't fast travel, don't play the game just to complete quests and you should enjoy it much more.

If this doesn't appeal to you, try call of duty.

What "other" games. Nothing compares to Skyrim.

Also, I am interested in knowing how you could feel a loss of interest just by owning "everything"?

Have you cleared every dungeon /fort /cave /keep?

Have you reached level 81? Have you collected every artifact item /rare item/ armor set?

Have you completed every quest?
yes i done it all

Impossible. The game generates its own quests ;)
Dungeons respawn. Why not go exploring and clear a few again?

You know what svcks? One day you may end up burned out on all video games, and for years you will strive to recapture the way you used to get lost in them for hours, unable to play for more than 20 minutes before starting to think about something else to do. But when you're not playing the game, you still think about games all the time. It svcks.

Skyrim was the first time in about 5 years I played a game for 12 hours straight, let alone 20 minutes,... over the next week though after 70 hours I started to get burned out though. After 130 hours I had to stop. Now I am waiting for Dawnguard, but I've been itching to play since December.

I have put down Skyrim and replayed Bioshock/2, the AC series, and FONV. Play some other games and come back to it!

Take a break from the game. Play other games, or just go outside and take a whif of air. Marvel your surroundings, etc.

Or start another character who doesn't specialize in every skill. Try playing a pure Mage, pure Warrior, Nightblade etc.

The one problem with elder scrolls games is the lack of replayability (save for Daggerfall for some reason). You've seen it all and done it all. There's no surprises, nothing left to explore, nothing really to do.

Now, I know a lot of you have never heard of the game I am going to recommend, but trust me on this. Go get a copy of Tropico 4 and build up/oppress your people who love you/hate you/are rebelling until Dawnguard comes out.

When I do get bored of games the only thing for me to do is take a break like every one else is saying, and eventually you might get back into the game.

Here's what yo do:
Turn off your PC or console.
Look out of the window, see that? That's the outside world with fresh air and stuff.
Open your front door, go outside, do something else.

Here is an idea take a break play something else, I stopped playing due to the asinine amount of bugs I am having.

I am playing something else and I plan to get back into if we get a patch 1.6 to do some testing to see if my main concerns have been addressed.

Well, for starters you should never only play one game. That said you should never play
to many of them at the same time either. But, included Skyrim i play The longest Journey,
Grim Fandango, YDNJ and sometimes some retro games. I switch between them depending
on my mood. Am i in need for a good old adventure game? Do i want to just slaughter someone?
Maby some puzzle solving? DO i want a good story? Maby some laughs?

So yeah, you should play different games depending on your mood as a way to "defend" youself
getting tired of one game (that you really, really know you insanely love)

I do this all the time. Go abit skyrim-crazy, get bored, try 1000000000 new builds to make it fun ??.

Honestly, just leave it for a while. Or make a new character.
I'm making one more character, then waiting till dawnguard anyway.

You've played this game for 6 months. I think that is a very good value of money already. Why do you feel obliged to continue playing it if you've lost interest?

You can try mods, or play a new game.

It's too linear and ending is too sad and predicable. Spoiler: everyone dies at the end.

Recently, I toyed with the idea of creating a "complementary" character, someone who escaped from Helgen at the same time of the player and that did everything my last and most developed character didn't...

I excluded the binary choices with a long lasting effects on the world (ie DB quest or CW campaign) for the sake of story continuity but I pursued all the other stories and campaigns I left out of my last playthrough.

Ideally, this character will -sooner or later- cross paths with the other one and they could sit all night around at the inn, telling each other all the fantastic adventures they had after fleeing from Helgen.

Become a comedian. I'm thinking your satire skills are high, you play games, you comment on this page, and you're on a PC. I can't think of any other reason for you not to be funny or an ass-hat. In the most funny way possible of course. :run:
