Oh, let's all blame the PS3 which has a strong library of games even bigger and stronger than Skyrim. Let's all ignore the fact it has so many beautiful games and kick ass graphics and tell people that the PS3 svcks because it can't play Skyrim. Blablablabla. HERP DERP. Sorry but I'm not buying that PC elitism bullcrap.
Over 130 hours with Skyrim on PS3. Only problem is the bookshelf patch thing. But by all means, it has to be the machines fault.

Over 200 hours on mine. (PS3) Not really much to complain about that wouldn't be expected from a Bethesda game. And the lag is easily fixed by restarting the game. Why the OP would spend so much money for a simple problem with a simple solution is beyond me.

Bethesda rightfully deserves all these conplaints for releasing such a crippled game. Yeah maybe we should just complain once and forget about it but that doesn't fix the game. One month out and still broken. Bethesda will leave a trail of slime wherever they go now. Sorry to ruin te skyrim drool session.

The game is not broken. Simply saying it is does not make it so.

The PS3 works just fine. It only needs some different coding and the game will run just fine.

Most of my issues are housing and using the items with in. Windhelm house (just got) kinda useless until they fix the problems. Was having Dragon problems, but doing the first few missions of the main quest somehow fixed my dragons not landing issue. Dragons still flying backwards at times though. I'm about 100 hrs in, level 27. Have completed the companions, civil war (sided with Empire), TONS of side and misc. quests, and about 1/4 threw main quest. Not much lag. Game has locked up my system a couple times though. I dunno, I find it very playable but looking forward to patches. Hoping for that 1.3 patch for PS3 to arrive soon.

When I think about it... I have experienced noticeable lag on two occasions. It lasted for 15 seconds. I should return the game and start a thread on how Bethesda svcks.

Well the problem lies in the PS3, not the game. The technology Skyrim uses murders consoles' ram.

No. It's a memory leak issue and the lack of cleaning up garbage by the engine. In other words it's crappy coding.

I've heard this drivvle before. You spent all that money on the game and you're not willing to put up with a few problems until they're fixed? They're known issues, so of course they're going to be dealt with. All you're doing is proving how impatient you are. I know plenty of people with Skyrim on PS3 and they've not had a problem, try looking elsewhere for your blame

So it seems.

Is the inflating save file just an issue for the PS3 (I've seen lots of lag/crash complaints from PS3 users) or does it happen on all platforms? I'm just wondering if other platforms handle it better than the PS3.
The Xbox 360 has a unified memory pool: 512 megs of RAM usable as system memory or graphics memory. The PS3 has a divided memory pool: 256 megs for system, 256 for graphics. It's the same total amount of memory, but not as flexible for a developer to make use of.

Question from one of lesser knowledge... Is there a save game size that you would call "normal" for F:NV? Mine is 14mb, and i'm having intense lag in multiple sections of the Mojave/ all DLC lands. Just curious if that is/could be an issue!
That can easily be a big problem, especially if you're on the PS3. The longer you play a character, the more bit differences on objects (characters, pencils on tables, containers, etc.) get saved off and carried around in memory. I think we've seen save games that are pushing 19 megs, which can be really crippling in some areas.

Steam is terrible they ripped me off twice and no refund. From then on I've sworn never to use their services ever again.

Now Im stuck using Skyrim on a crappy console.

I'm sure Bethesda will feel the impact from the loss of you.

Take care!

The Playstation 3 appears to be having the most problems!
I wish Bethesda could have maybe made more effort on clearing those problems out before the game was released!
But Console gamers should be prepared for this! I am certain that Bethesda will be tending to and watching their PC players more than their Console players...

It's kind of the nature of the game, unfortunately. There's so much crap in a single game file that they get bloated and tend to lag. Also, while I'm not disagreeing with you that downloading Steam is rather silly, there's always this:

Yeah, lots of spam and I guess this is either a request for tech help for one version you bought, not sure which, or just a general comment that you are angry.

Sorry for your frustration but this thread is going nowhere in a hurry.
