I can't get excited for FPS games anymore. After shooter season 2011 I just couldn't find it in me to care any less.

I used to like Halo though. The old one, on the Xbox. And Medal of Honor: Allied Assault...

Original halo was the best Halo. :hubbahubba:

Not getting MW3, because there will be a new game next year and it is overpriced.

BF3, I'm not sure, my computer probably can't handle it, and I don't like origins.

I'm not getting BF3 anymore simply because of how amazing Red Orchestra 2 is.

No, given that it's hard to have a thread where someone isn't dragging out CoD to complain over. It's almost like the gamers' version of Godwin's Law.

I was tired of those types of shooters even before Modern Warfare 1 was out.

BioShock 2 tried to cover old ground and did so with only moderate success. We had experienced just about everything that made Rapture interesting. Infinite is a fresh start in everything but a basic premise. Plus, Ken Levine is doing Infinite where as he had absolutely nothing to do with BioShock 2.I didn't think BioShock 2 was a bad game, it just wasn't necessary.

yea that's really the only think that interest me, the new setting is very unique.

I can't stand the military shooter genre any more, so no, you are not alone. Even first person shooters in general to be honest. Exceptions being made for Halo of course :P
MW3 and BF3 are too focused on competitive multiplayer, something that I'm losing much interest in.

There's also that hatred I have for all things Call of Duty that prevents me from buying MW3 :P

Red Orchestra 2 has satisfied my urge for an online FPS game this year. I don't see how BF3 or MW3 could possibly come close to topping it, so I won't be getting either.

The only shooter I'd get right now would be the newest gears of war, but my 360 is dead, all my friends who would play it live too far for co-op, and I don't want to fork over money just to play MP.

Otherwise, Skyrim is really the only game I'm looking forward too, barring some DS games.

As of right now, I'm still on the fence for buying BF3. At least, right away. Same with MW3. I will only play them for the multi-player, so I might wait a while to get it. But the week of release I might change my mind. MW 3, seems less likely though cause of Skyrim. But BF3 has a good chance of getting bought.

Have bought every Cod game except WaW, but wont be buying MW 3.

Loved the first 2 Cod's online, especially the bigger maps with tanks etc.Was still playing them online up till about 1-2 years ago. Forget the name of the specific games but think it was the first and 2nd game.
Dont really like MW's and Black ops MP style.
It also does seem pretty much the same thing over and over again now , but it's working for them, so who am i to complain about that.

I would still buy MW 3 just for the singleplay, but with BF 3 (and Skyrim) coming out, theres little chance of that happening. Just prefer the more mixed gameplay of BF + the bigger maps.

I might buy BF3 once the price goes down enough.

Don't need to buy MW3, two of my roommates are already doing that the day it comes out.

I'm getting both. Mainly cause I had a lot of fun with Battlefield 3 and I really want to play the single player. I know there are some people on here that are getting it on PC and I'll gladly play with them in multiplayer. I'm getting CoD because my friends will definitely be getting it, and I'll be picking it up for Xbox (because that's what they play on). I didn't play the crap out of Black Ops (I didn't buy it, actually. My friend bought it for me so we could keep playing after he moved away to college) so I don't feel burnt out when they bring in MW3 and just tweak it a little.

I'm going to like them both because they're different styles of gameplay set in a similar setting/universe.

No you're not the only one. I stopped caring about those types of games, after I finished Medal of Honor: Underground.

I've had my fair share of shooting real guns ranging from a pistol to 30mm autocannon that I don't even like the idea any more. FPS is too simple for my taste - I like games that require brains and games with a story.

Never liked call of duty, something about it really smacks of bad taste to me. I've never played any Battlefield games but I imagine they're the same.

Since I've got friends in the armed forces, I suppose knowing that they're actually putting themselves in danger for real, in situations people play about with in games sets me on edge. War games just aren't my thing.
