Explore other cities and try to quick travel as less as possible. Talk to people and you'll be surprise by what they have to offer. Don't focus too much on quest because it is endless so just explore and do random stuffs cause that what's Skyrim is all about. Also, there is a CIvil war quest where they ask you to pick a side like join Stormcload or Imperials and I recommend you to not join any faction just yet because is more fun that way.

yeah

I train skills that level slowly compared to other skills in that sphere. For example, as a warrior, block tends to level more slowly than other skills, so I train to keep it on par with armor/one handed etc. Also, it gives you something to spend your gold on. On my thief character, I didn't feel compelled to pickpocket with 20k gold on me, but if I could train off some gold in alchemy it keeps me broke which is a lot more conducive to roleplaying.

yeah i understand wat your saying there, cuz u gonna be constantly using one handed but u dont use sheild as much so that makes sense, also i dont feel the need to spend neither, unless theres something unique theres no point, cuz u can find or make most the stuff
