Paladin Character

If they don't put better looking greatswords or claymores in Dawnguard like Chrysamere, I'm going to be upset. I use greatswords specifically because its more knightly.

I like the Nord Hero Greatsword.

Yeah I made one of those and named it Ice. The Nord Hero weapons are pretty sweet. I just want something with a much sharper point though. I'm praying the guys at Bethesda introduce bastard swords.

Just think, damage in between one-handed and two-handed, fight style sort of a blend between the two. I think that'd be sick.

I agree with most of the above save for the bit about the steel armor. Great for a pure knight, paladin not so much. but i can show ya how i've got mine set and kitted out.

Alaxander Shadowbane. Imperial (for Voice of the Emporer) , concept Paladin King. Lord Stone.
Heavy Armor(Juggernaut), Block(all perks), 1 handed(Armsman, fighting stance & decap perk), Restoration (all perks, especialy Ward Absorb). Smithing ( acrane blacksmith). enough conjuration to cast Expel Daedra and Alteration for more magic resistence is optional.

Gear: Dwarven Armor, Elven boots&gauntlets, The Jagged Crown, Spellbreaker, Dawnbreaker.

Special note: The Ward Absorb perk works in synergy with the ward generated by Spellbreaker, allowing you to refill your magicka. You're best spells will be Guardian Circle and Bane of the Undead wich can only be learned at the Colledge.

Also if you want to be lighter on your feet, consider the Guilded Elven Armor. It's simply beautiful.

I would recommend using dwarven armor minus the helmet with both Dawnbreaker and Spellbreaker. I made a character similar to this who was a paladin for Azura and vanquished evil and captured their souls in her star. Steel plate armor is also good.

If you are on PC check out the Jussus weapons. They are very well crafted weapons. For some reason I'm not finding a link...

Although I have retrieved it, I have never used the Dawnbreaker because of its low damage rating. Does it level up like the Ebony Blade does?

It's improvable through Smithing. Plus, it blows up the undead you kill, killing, damaging or turning the others. It's basically overpowered inside Nordic ruins.

While it is smithable, it never seems to get as much of a perk out of doing so as I would like. It seems to be lacking on the proper coding to fully upgrade it.
