At least they don't sparkle.

That's great lol, and from the video the vampire lord looked to be doing pretty well in the sun to me.

Did no one notice that in the trailer when the sun gets "blocked" out, it doesn't really black it out making it dark, it just kind of made the world have a red like hue.

Being a vampire in the sun is actually fun. Try it sometime.

During the E3 video with Matt Carafano, it shows a Vampire Lord fighting in broad daylight at Riverwood. He seems to be doing pretty good against multiple guards and civilians. The Werewolf clip however, shows the Werewolf losing good sized chunks of Health to a single guard with a bow (Which means they still don't have Armor Rating ). In Dawnguard, Lvl 4 Vampires will not be attacked on sight by NPCs anymore. But you will be attacked on sight while in Vampire Lord form.

what if i have both werewolf and vamp ability. Will i hybrid..... that is the question.
Werewolves are 100% resistant to disease. I could be wrong, but I think its impossible to be both.

Dawnguard for me. A vampire hunter with a crossbow? Yes please.

I have a character all lined up for the vamps though, too.

There is no pivotal flaw on which side is better: its a matter of personal opinion.
Also which side could be better could be determined by the characters personality your playing for roleplaying reasons.
Each faction has their own goal and beliefs and it would be fitting if you wish to add a character to one of the two factions to add then to the one they most likely agree with.

As I see it:

Slaying vampires > Being vampire

It feels like the Dawnguard is the faction that is going to have the most challenge, and that's what I want.

No you can only be one.

Well if your on pc you could technically use the console to make yourself a hybrid, I did it once.

Part of the plot is that Harkon wants to 'end the tyranny of the sun', so that vampires aren't harmed by it.
In the end, I don't think Bethesda would make the change permanent. Some deus-ex machina plot will restore the sun to normal while allowing players who obtained vampiric powers to become immune to sunlight. Most of the videos showed at E3 are shot in sunlight... Either they "cheated" for the purpose of showing off clearer images or it will happens something like this.

There are a few daedra which will be heavily enraged if the sun gets blocked permanently

I doubt he'll succeed anyway. It would be very odd if Beth plunged their game world into eternal darkness ...

I also think that the whole world in darkness forever plot will not happen. Interesting premise for a story but I ultimately think that Harkon will fail as well.

I noticed that too. In the gamejam video someone mentioned that one of the perks in the lycanthropy perk was toughened hide. Basically an armor rating perk for werewolves. Why didn't they make into the actual perk tree?

Maybe Molag Bal will appear and give a nice speech on how powerful the player has become but, in the end, he prefers sunlight to exist so that both humans and vampires can continue to suffer and @#$e!!! each other

Certainly sounds like something he would do. Aw the endless suffering of the lesser beings.
