Playing as a Khajiit.

Khajiit are probably my second favorite TES race, but I can't play one. Usually find myself traveling with a khajiit follower, though.

Yeah they're great followers. I made a Khajiit character related to J'zargo, a close cousin, and I look almost exactly like him. I didn't mean to either!

Played a Khajiit a couple of times when I first got the game, and it really was weird that I was the only one allowed in cities.

Also when I talked to Ysolda about Khajiit, I was hoping she would at least make a remark out the characters race.

Skyrim for the Nords indeed..

Same here dude. Khajiit is my main race and the discrimination just isn't satisfying. It's a weird thing to say, but it's true. The racism woulda made it a little bit funner to play as Beast or Elf race.

If it makes you feel better, I openly discriminate against kitties. I hate them. Lizards too.

Yeah it's really frustrating because she of all the NPCs does not even acknowledge the fact you're a khajiit. You'd think as much as she mentions them she'd atleast recognize a khajiit

Your hate only makes me stronger.

Yeah, its pretty ridiculous. I hope Bethesda does a better job in TES:VI, with character recognition, and dialogue options.

I know that you can marry any character in Skyrim, regardless of their six and race, and I have to wonder what the offspring of some of these pairings would be like... assuming that they're interfertile, of course. We know that humans and elves and interbreed freely, but it's kind of ambiguous about orcs, carpets, and lizards.

One, thanks for calling Khajiit a carpet. Two, interracial children always end up with their mother's race. They gain traits from the other race, but they are generally going to be their mother's race.

Except for Khajiit, and Bosmer for some reason. :/

Humans, and Elves interbreed with Khajiit, Orcs, and Argonians.

In Oblivion an Imperial Vampire mated with an Orc maid who gave birth to a Orc who was part vampire.

I think the general rule in TES is any, or almost any two races can get together, but the child will be born the same race as the mother.

Yeah it's kind of annoying that there nothing different. People would complain if they weren't allowed in cities but something more than a few passing remarks please?

Yeah but when discrimination is such a big part of this game you shouldn't have to imagine it.

no offense
True, though my Deshiik usually avoids people so he doesn't usually associate himself in society unless he is conducting recon or merchanting. When he does come in contact with people, he gets called "Cat" a lot. Especially when being confronted while in the act of a crime.
