Either that or some "jump past the Vault" cheat.
I have done 95% of the dlc and I refuse to spend another hour with "Try this. Boom. Try that. Boom."

If you want to skip the row below I later found a mod at a certain very popular mod-site. Google dead money mods and you should find it in a few secs.

I'm pretty sure there's a http://www.google.com/search?btnG=1&q=sierra+madre+vault+walkthrough+video...

*Sigh*

But all to often I had rush in and look for it. Not my style......................

Thanks for the offer but I dont think any advice in the world can give me faster reflexes.

I totally empathise with this post: I'm stuck just a smidgen further on and it took hours of head exploding just to find the couple of speakers in the way of me moving on a whole 10 yards lol.
And where I'm stuck now I fear is down to my slower reflexes - I'm not a bang bang player so don't have those fast relexes either. But I've had a couple of replies to my request for help, and, after a break, I'm going back to it.
But yeah, as I've said in other posts here, the play style for Dead Money does seem somewhat of a departure from the rest of FNV. Yeah the Wasteland is also about patience and learning, going back and reloading old saves a million times, but it still has enough pace to keep you moving forward.
For players like me, stealthy, patient, observe then act, find every nook and cranny, the Fallout games met the mark spot on. But Dead Money sure does have some totally frustrating areas where it's not a game anymore but a bleeping chore. I don't even feel a sense of satisfaction once I get through a particularly frustrating section because getting through it didn't take skill etc., just trial and error. Overall DM is ok, but those sections where you get stuck for hours trying this way and that way just spoil it a bit for me. I prefer to solve things by taking in the clues, finding the hints, not just by try this way try that way ad nauseum.

So come back to it after a break - both of us eh - we got close to the end; and I suspect we'll always be irritated if we don't finish it (well I will anyway).

I agree with PeterF. It makes me laugh that people go 'DIS GAEM NO CHALLENGE'. Then when it IS challenging, people whine and moan about it being 'The developers fault that I couldnt beat it'. Seriously, just because it's not a run and gun DLC doesnt put them at fault, it puts you the player at fault.

The point here isn't difficulty, but rather a style of play that many of us DON'T LIKE.
