I don't know why they didn't in the first place I mean the very idea of it came from ranged weapons.

Yes, yes, and yes.
Fallout has it for the ranged weapons, why not Skyrim?

Simple reason, Fallout uses hitscan for bullets/projectiles (outside of VATS) whereas Skyrim has actually projectiles that can be dodged...

I'd rather have a pop-up of FPS Doug with "BOOM! HEADSHOT!!!"

Kill cams? No thanks. Leave it in Fallout please.

I do not mind it in Fallout. I do not want to waste half my life in slow mo watching my arrow shot to the enemies head.

Lol, you ever try dodging arrows shot by an experinced archer? You wouldn't last long.
Also, they should have put in killcams.

A sword is close combat, nobody notices the split second it takes for the game to realise a killing blow was dealt and then switch to the finishing moves.

I think you'd notice your arrow flying to a enemy, hitting them after a few seconds of flight and then suddenly changing to a replay of what your arrow just did.

Edit @yougivingmelipboy? Nope I can't say I have since this game is single player and the AI is none too bright. But I doubt you can tell me that you have a 100% hit rate on everything and that you never miss a shot, and even if by some feat of Azura you have never missed a shot in your life then... it still doesn't matter since not all players are as accurate as you, and the game would need to simulate (on phone, too much effort to write) a lot of variables to see where the arrow would land.

Personally. I think it's a bad idea.

I think it's a great idea. Slip a guy some slow acting poison and watch the camera spin around as he grabs his throat and his eyes start to bleed.

EDIT : Oh! Wait...you said Archery. Ha! Samsonite! I was way off...

Sorry I mean kill cams in general.
(when you kill someone with a melee weapon sometimes it pulls back you get a kill animation)

All these reasons as to why it can't be done are all completely invalidated by the fact that the game jam included killcam shots for magic.

That being said, I'm not a big fan of them.

Simple solution is to make it an optional free DLC like the High res texture pack.
