Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Vodka is cheaper
Than dinner for two.

I like hokers, I like booze,
I'm such a loser I've naught to lose.

Heres something I came up with today:

From the depths I came alone but for a figure rightly sewn
Into my heart right from the start but for its voice its never shown,

I talked to it, I told it "You have no idea the pain
of sitting down under the happy crowd, my face covered in shame"

"Hold your tongue", it said, "In fact just throw it out the door.
I don't want to hear your inward focused sorrow anymore"

"Listen once and listen well for here into your ear I'll tell
the story of a broken beaten girl right out from hell"

"She looked into the sky as it was falling to the ground
but if theres no one there to hear the crying, does she make a sound?"

Now in those days the darkness being everywhere I see
made it hard for me to know if death's next man I was to be,

But one day as i looked upon the figure rightly sewn
A crying girl did then appear right out from hell, i should have known

That the voice telling me "You're the only reason that I move"
standing there, before my eyes with open arms was always you

I have something I fixed up earlier today. Nothing big, just a little somehting:

Spoiler

Sitting alone
I look out over the yard
The others are grouped up
All in different corners of the school
They all know me
The fake me
But when will I have the courage
To be the true me?

How can it be?
Where did it go wrong?
Why can’t I see myself
When I look in the mirror?
What happened to the boy I knew
So very long ago?
And who is the one staring back at me?

I lose myself
Bit by bit
They all chip away at me
The ones who call me friend
Taking what little I have
Putting pieces of themselves back
To make me more like them
Soon I will be gone

In the yard I see her
Talking to her friends
Talking about me
The fake me
The one they all love
And the one I hate
She is the girl I want
And the girl the fake me got

At home people say I am different
My Ma and Pa say I am quiet
And that only my friends make my smile come out
They are right
But I am not happy
Not at home, not at school, not at work
They will never understand
How lonely I am

I haven't given it a name yet, but I might call it The Fake Me
And here is the rest of the poem:
Spoiler

I had hope, once
Hope that I would always be me
Bound up in one I loved
Who was always there for me
He thought me so much
But not anymore
He left me
And now his body is buried in the ground

When he was gone
So was the hope
I cannot remember him
Not his face
Not his voice
But I know him
He was nothing like me
But I am like him

My Pa is worried
Looking at me from across the room
He says he know how I feel
But how could he?
He says he have known for a long time
But he was afraid to tell me
He lost a son
But claims my brother wasn’t the one

Life is very, very
Short
Don't wait until someone is dead to give them flowers.

Northern hope

It is said, that the coming shall return
Counting the days 'till the mute one speaks
Sowing the graves that will be left in his wake
Under his rule, oh their castles will burn

For the ice that did melt is now merely a tool
The golden peaks, scaled by a fool
Under the falling snow one will walk sole
He will scare the empire, or swallow it whole

This is not an actual poem. It is a prophecy, but I was hoping it might fit in here too.

Here's another 'poem'

Heart of Glass

Thunder in the North, beneath the storming clouds
Whispers in the West, they pillaged like beasts
Rumbles in the East, as wizards wear crests
Fear in the South, when their gods come forth

The eye of the storm is no longer safe
Brittle as be, the glass towers will break
Beware the sky, and watch each wave
Once the three walk foundations shall shake

Another one I made some time ago:

Spoiler

A figure moves through the yard
Unseen, unnoticed
Silent as a shadow
Head hanging
She lurks in the darkness
I can see her now

The darkness lies around us all
Shrouding her every move
Hiding within she whispers
Calling to someone
We all know her name
Yet it will never be said

As I go home I see
That she is just like us
A house, a family
Not unlike my own
Yet there is something she
Never truly will be

I know her brother
Her father too
We often meet
Hiking in the mountain
But I never see her
Even when I do

Sitting in class
At the very front
Always talking
But still silent
Our teacher always sees her
Yet she never does

I see her at school
I see her at home
We often talk
But she never sees me
She is the Girl next door
That I will never meet
