Bolded and italicized to emphasis my primary thought when making that conclusion. :P

But if it does sound like a good idea, I can try and give it a whirl once I knock my current obligations out of the way. The only worry I had is that (aside from people despising my voice, face, and writing) is that he would overlap with too much of Arcade's personality since he'd use sarcasm and dry wit as well, even with the attempts to distance my attempt by focusing on science vs. medicine, etc.

Oh, well, I love Arcade. He's one of my fave characters in the entire game, but I don't use him because the execution of the vanillas, with the exception of their backstories and their questline stories is lacking IMO. There's a lot that can be done to make the companion experience better, even if there is some personality overlap.

True, very true. Although, looks like I'm about to join those ranks then since I'm putting one out in the next couple of days (though hopefully it will stand out just a little bit :P)

With everything you've previously said you don't like in a follower (even in those Nexus PM's as well) surely you wouldn't go and make one anyway
If you need a face I've a bunch on Nexus as part of a savegame pack. They're even in an esp already :)

I actually was intending to port him over, and had written a good deal on his dialogue and updated his face a bit. The trouble is, the guy I was intending to voice act it just stopped responding to my messages several months ago. :( So in the meantime I've just been doing audio-recycling, even though it's hell working with characters like Marcus.

So, you were using one of those NPC's. The ones with not many lines. When I 'ported my FO3 follower mod over I had to bring the voice files, too, because when I tested him, the default male voice is those sneery powder gangers. It sounded bad on him. But I prefer the unique voices, even if they don't have much to say.

I used your Sydney follower mod, and will no doubt try and your new one, same with Llama's. Both of you do awesome work with followers :goodjob:

I'm actually pretty grateful for the framework Obsidian added for companions. Companion wheel to reduce dialogue clutter? An easy way to script reactions to gifts? More automatic idle pvssyr topics? Tracking without the need for a makeshift quest marker? Entry point perk support? But yeah, they're not perfect and I hate how they played favorites with Cass while shafting some of the funnier ones like Raul and Veronica. For me though, they'd be perfect if they came with the usual modded features (custom home definition, reactive sitting and drawing, sandbox waiting, etc.), and some banter.

Well, I meant "yet another female", not "hawt face attached to mute, generic template #34243". She (Melissa) has got about 200 lines with just some of the hiring dialogue left to go before a release. Don't think I'd be able to use any of your faces sadly, unless you've got one that looks great when used with the hispanic raider face model.

Yeah, he's got about 150 lines tops, closer to 100 when you factor out the combat barks and epilogue lines. That I was able to squeeze anything out of that was nothing short of a miracle. :banghead: Benny on the other hand has got a lot of easy lines to poach, so that should make my next project a little easier.

Mod I'd like? How about a great color map for the vanilla PipBoy? Haven't seen one yet.

Tried it and don't like it. It's too hard to see the icons, not interested in the text and overlays. Thanks, though.
