Games you suddenly want to (re)play

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:28 pm

I am always replaying games. At this very moment, it's Fallout 1. :fallout:

In the past several months, however, I've played through a number of games. Not the least of all, one of my favorite games of all time, Deus Ex. I always play on Realistic, too, so I have to play smart, and not run 'n gun.

I've also done a playthrough of Giants: Citizen Kabuto, which is an extraordinarily underrated game, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Sh_VuxYqBY, and fun. A tad frustrating at bits, but fun.

I have this urge to replay Fallout. Also, kinda BGII, but I refuse to replay BGII because it takes TOO DAMN LONG.

I recently watched one of the Slayers movies, and it's really planted another seed of adventure in me that's nagging about Morrowind again. The freedom, the magic, the treasure and bandits! It really was the best game. Shame I don't have the time anymore. Like, really don't have half an hour a day to devote. Oh well. One day. :geek:

Ditto. I switched to Realistic my second time through the game and never looked back at the others. However, it's actually quite redundant for me to even pick that setting, as I always - and I mean always - play a stealthy JC that never gets into combat. For bosses, I sneak an explosive to them before they can even engage me in conversation.

i've been playing fallout nv for the last two weeks, but mostly because of the dlc announcements

i also need to finish my second play thru of dragon age 2, beat pokemon platinum, if i could get jade empire to run on my windows 7 i would play that, i've been playing the crap out of angry birds at work (on my breaks i swear),

i really wanted to replay morrowind the other day, started up a nord barbarian got to balmora and haven't played since

also assassins creed two, loved that game, i don't know why i sold it. Now i regret it, cant wait for my cousin to finish the first one...so he buys the second and i can chill at his house and play it there, guess i could get brotherhood, but the story was getting a little out there

I feel the strange desire to play Daggerfall and just wander the countryside for a while looting caves. I really love the sense of scale in that game, how you can spend huge amounts of time on a little island, because that island is 30 miles across and has seven towns on it.

I had a nightmare about one of those huge labyrinthine dungeons, though. The tech gradually imrpved the deeper you went, so you started of in text based RPing, went up to ACSII and eventually sprites. I could map that place out for you, it was horiffic.

One time I got lost in one ingame and it took absolutely forever to find my way out again. Never did find te kid who'd been kidnapped by orcs either.:(

I do recall when I tried to cross the wrothgarian mountains in real time, on foot. I got about halfway across the deserted moorland, when a random harpy flew over and murdered me. That was a bit WTF.

I don't play games much anymore, but there're times where I develope itches for games I already own.

last weekend it was Mafia II
this past week I've been playing Fable III, in fact, I look more forward to playing Fable III than LA Noire which I haven't opened yet, once all this crap that's going on gets settled.

Right now I feel like replaying KotOR I or II, Jade Empire, or Oblivion.

Those three games make me happy. :)

My Uncle recently gave me Icewind Dale II, and ever since my D&D group game back from school for the summer I've been wanting more than just once a week D&D. It's just a matter of installing it...

All those different possible playstyles... And I always end up doing a stealthy one every time. :P

Deus Ex, when you get down to it, is best suited to stealth gameplay. That doesn't mean you have to play it that way, and certainly, in my dozens of playthroughs in the past ten years, I've had a few brute force playthroughs. It's not easy on Realistic, but, as the saying goes, where there's a will ...

I want to play the original Doom again--guess I have to find an old X-box and a copy of Doom 3 special edition.

Spyro The Dragon :(

I could get my aunt's PSOne and play Spyro 2... it's only ever used when we visit her, so I guess she would allow me to "borrow" it for a while.

Or buy it on Steam. I paid like USD $2 like three years ago for it.

I feel like playing Ken's Labyrinth.
