Colonel Moore - why the hate?

I hate Colonel Moore because of her Violent solutions to everything and i like how Colonel Hsu is the opposite in situations(The Kings Gambit). But for dealing with the Brotherhood for NCR there is a non violent solution (only works if you keep mcnamara as the elder) well if you complete Still in the Dark you can get a speech check about forming an alliance with the NCR if you do this you get NCR infamy because of Colonel Moore's agressive point of view don't get me wrong she has to right to hate the Brotherhood due to Helios 1 and stuff but i dont think there should be infamy because of this.

Howso? The NCR gets aid in the form of troops with laser weapons and true power armor, or extra cannon fodder from the Khans, or simply have the Khans out of the way entirely. Not having them available for the Dam Battle is less than optimal. Furthermore, if the NCR wins, they get an extra hand in patrolling the Mojave from the Bros.

And if you manage a diplomatic solution dealing with the Kings aside from expending The King's favor to you, Moore sees to it that Crocker gets sacked.

Moore is a prime example of Maslow's Hammer.

i completely agree you shouldn't get infamy for bringing them back up for the battle right

Actually, Oliver correctly assessed the op plan of the enemy. He put his marker down on a dam attack, and it came up spades. Mock him all you want, but he made the best strategic decision in the game. Ceasar attacking the dam is the worst, when he already had a foothold over the Colorado at Nelson and the Cove. He should have enveloped the dam from the south.
Rule #1 in warfare: Never start a land war in asia.
Rule #2: Never attack Moscow in the winter.
Rule #3: Never attack a fortified river crossing head on. Ever.

-Gunny out.

This would be all fine and good, except for Vulpes Inculta and his agents and Dead Sea's occupation of Nelson undermining the NCR's ability to fight further reinforce the Dam. A frontal assault works just fine if your opponent is too hungry and too poorly equipped to fight back.
