I hate Cazadors. : Fallout: New Vegas

Yep, me too. They're like weak Deatchlaws that are impossible to hit without V.A.T.S. and can poison you. Boone can kill them left and right, though. I make it a point to wipe out their giant paper hives whenever I find them.

I don't use VATS at all. I hate that kind of thing. I kill em' pretty easily. I am good though which is why I don't use the babies toy.

Perhaps a little FPS work would help your game. If you take a week and just play L4D, the original or the sequel, your FPS skills will improve a lot. All those zombies and not really enough ammo. You need hundreds of headshots a level. Good practice.

I hate them so i kill them in the face with my Gobi sniper, not to mention I have ED-E and Boone by my side, so they usaully dont make it close!

Get ED-E.
You'll see them on the compass from a mile away and can be ready for them once you do find them take your RCW and just spray in their location.
It ain't that hard and you don't need twitch reflexes for it.
If it's still a problem then use VATS and shoot their wings.

I'm 64 myself. I have been playing shooters since Doom. My daughter was a Q3 monster for years. My son nearly as good. They both kick my ass but I can kill Cazadors no problem.

I just play Stalker. I hate the COD and MMW stuff too. It's just so stupidly easy for one. Check the new MOH trailer where the elite warriors take this little village. If those fools came into contact with a 4 man expert Duty squad from Stalker they would all die right away. Step around the corner with your wolfish grin and get your head blown off right now.

Cazadores are definitely the worst due to the fact that they attack in packs, are very fast, do [censored] amounts of damage, and can poison you. Even if taking them out in VATS, you use up nearly all your AP just shooting the wings and that's only the first one! How about the other 4? I do my best to avoid them, even though I can kill them relatively easy...

I hate them too, but that may change once I run into more of them. Most of the time when I encounter them it means instant death for me, but the most recent time I encountered them I wated until that got close to me, went into VATS, shot it one time in the wing with a hunting shotgun, then shot it once in the body without using VATS and that killed them. Maybe I ran across some super weak ones, maybe I was lucky, I don't know, but if I can take them all down like that then I don't think I'll worry about them too much anymore.

I have a mild phobia about insects, and cazadors actually make me shiver with revulsion as a result. To provoke an actual physical response is a terrific achievement, so I can only offer huge amounts of kudos to whoever designed them. I hate them (and it's brilliant that I do).

I too hate cazadores
My first encounter:

100 sneak+crouching+chinese stealth recon armor+silenced sniper rifle+stealth boy ON vs. 4 cazadores at long range.........

........and they still got to me and killed me

what the heck?

Diddnt think they could see me with stealth boy on?

I find that the 12.7mm smg is quite effective on everything in the game... even on veryhard. It does have a paltry 15 round clip though

I've been having less trouble with Cazadors since someone told me to aim for the wings.

The LMG or 10MM SMG are good against them, as they have no DT.

Elevated ground + Boone + Repeater/12.7 SMG = done. If they do happen to get close, it's the Riot and AMR all the way.

On Easy or Very Hard. On Normal or hardcoe. At level 3 or at level 30. With a 9mm or a Riot Shotgun. With a 10 Guns or a 100 Guns. With a Vault jumpsuit or Tesla Power Armor. It doesn't matter what I'm wearing, what level I am, the Perks I've chosen, or the weapons I'm using...

Let your companion melee tank them and they aren't too bad. They die fast, unlike Deathclaws.

If your companion gets low on HP, Stimpaks are an instant heal for them even on hardcoe mode. It's better to let your companion tank Giant Rads and Cazadors. Deathclaws can be iffy to let them tank for long though, at least if your CHA is 1 and therefore your Nerve bonus svcks.

I had Cass so badly poisoned that even though I pumped in 5 stimpacks and brought her back to about 1/2 she died only seconds later. Poison and I'm not sure how you would fix that?

These bugs are easy if you have sniper guns unarmed or melee is not so fun when a swarm comes at you.
